Thinking of selling print on demand dresses? If you think this product niche is untapped, you might be right! Here are 15 best dress print on demand sites to use!
If you’re new to print on demand, you would think the t-shirts segment is quite overrated. That might be true for some, especially when people are more into casual wear these days. If you’re like me, you’ll just love flowy unique print dresses that make you feel like you’re at the beach, even if you’re just watching Baywatch from your bedroom.
In this article, I’ll be sharing 15 sites you can use to start printing dresses with your own designs, as well as a list of dresses they offer. To make it easier for you, I’ve included a brief guide on how you can start selling them yourself – down below!

15 Print On Demand Dresses Fulfillment
1. Printify
If you’re looking to design a wide range of products, Printify has one of the best catalog for you – including sustainable eco-friendly dresses. There’s at least 7 kinds of dresses you can design and sizes range from 2T to XL (8 sizes). You can choose from 6 different suppliers and decide which is best for your biz since they’re located across the world, not just from the USA.
I highly recommend beginners to start with Printify thanks to their catalog and competitive prices – check out my pricing analysis against Printful here. You can always subscribe to Printify Premium to save about 23% in product cost, it will allow you to price your products competitively against others which results in better sales.
Here’s a sample of a Printify hoodie dress I created using a seamless seasonal pattern design downloaded from Creative Fabrica. I searched for a design, downloaded it and uploaded it to Printify. I then scaled it to be the same across all parts and make it a pattern using Printify’s pattern tool.
The design placements and color scheme might be a bit too much (not the coolest!) but I’m just showing you that it is possible to customize different parts of the hoodie dress. I added a ready graphic font found on Printify’s library at the pocket section “Joyful” to match the theme.

Types of dresses you can design:
- Skater dress
- Hoodie dress
- Organic t-shirt dress
- All-over-print dress

2. Printful
There isn’t as many dresses on Printful compared to Printify but all of their dresses are all-over-prints (AOP). AOP products let you upload designs to cover the entire surface area with no white space left. It’s a little more complicated to design but I like all-over-prints as it gives a premium look & feel, leaving customers satisfied of their purchase.
If you’re looking to design something a bit more modest, Printful offers long sleeve midi dresses – something not available on other sites in this list. It comes with a practical slash pockets on both sides and a relaxed fit boatneck neckline. There’s also a lot of sizes to choose from, some products up to 6XL!
Here’s a sample of a Printful dress I created using one of their very own quick designs. All I did was choose a suitable pattern design, scaled it and chose a background color I preferred. It’s a t-shirt dress with a white cat pattern and no file was uploaded on my part!
Similar to Printify, Printful’s dresses can also be customized according to parts. This t-shirt dress has four parts including the sleeves compared to the hoodie dress above (12 parts).

3. Yoycol
Hyped seeing the amount of dresses you can design with Printify? You’ve not seen the print on demand dresses on Yoycol! There’s over 100 types of dresses to design, with most being all-over-print.
Yoycol’s main fulfillment center is based in China hence prices are extremely affordable and production is fast (about 2.5 days). However, their shipping times to the USA or Europe are quite long and there isn’t much to say about their quality.
If you’re fine and used to working with long shipping times to reap greater margins, this one is for you!

4. Gooten
Gooten is a great fulfillment to go with if you have had some experience with print on demand and/or have an existing ecommerce store. They’ll ask you these details at the sign up page!
While there are a lot of products you can sell with Gooten including home decor and pet products, they only have one option for dresses. Gooten’s hooded pullover dress comes in 6 sizes and you can place designs on both sides (front/back).
I like that they provide design templates in JPG and PSD for sellers to refer to. This ensures your final designs fit perfectly within the designated print areas.

5. AOP+
If you’re based in Europe and would like to work with a supplier using the Euro currency, AOP+ is a great alternative. Although their product prices can be displayed in USD/Euros/GBP, products are made and shipped from the UK.
Don’t be discouraged by the picture below, their t-shirt dress runs in five sizes while the hoodie dress comes in six sizes. AOP+ has a great selection of premium apparel, organic apparel and activewear for you to sell alongside your dresses.
You can join their POD Academy Facebook group to learn everything you need to know.

6. Art Of Where
Looking for a Canadian-based print on demand fulfillment? Art Of Where is one I recommend using. They ship worldwide from Canada and the USA – you can also pick up orders yourself from both offices. Aside from dresses, Art Of Where offers great apparel products including leggings and baby clothing.
AOW only has two types of dresses for you to sell. I personally like flare dresses better as it gives a nice looking silhouette all day long compared to tight bodycon dresses (great for parties!).

7. Redbubble
One of the more popular POD marketplaces is Redbubble – the site I started my print on demand journey with. If you just want to buy printed dresses online (designed by others), it should be your go-to site.
Both their A-line dress and t-shirt dress are perfect for a casual day out or when you want to stay in (and still look chic). As a woman, I love dresses as they’re easy to put on, no frills and you look great in under a minute.
I love how easy it is to use Redbubble as you can upload a design to multiple products at once and get it ready for sales in less than 5 minutes. The standard commission you can make on Redbubble is 20% but you can increase or decrease it. If your designs stand out against others, I would suggest fixing a 30% commission rate instead.

8. Merchize
Looking for something similar to Yoycol but ships faster to the USA? Merchize is one of the best alternatives for fulfillment based in Asia. They have a wide range of products you can depend on, including candles, doormats and car accessories.
However, there are only four types of dresses you can sell with Merchize. All of them are all-over-prints which I believe are reasonably priced as it includes standard shipping charge to the USA. Sizes run from XS and up to 5XL so you can cater to a wider market audience.

Types of dresses you can design:

9. HugePOD
Aside from Yoycol, you can find at least 19 unique dresses on HugePOD – list down below. There are multiple base colors to choose from and prices are competitive compared to most sites here (but not as low as Yoycol’s). Everything is well below the $20 mark!
If you have a physical store to sell the dresses and need inventory, HugePOD has bulk purchase discounts. You can enjoy up to 20% off when you purchase 100 pieces or more. Though I specialize primarily in online sales, sellers can always choose to sell both online and offline.

Unless you’re ordering one for yourself, the Special Line shipping to the USA is your best bet for better than average shipping time and to keep costs low.

10. Printed Mint
Want to diversify from making print on demand women’s clothing or dresses? Printed Mint offers baby and toddler ones! Although there’s only two product base colors to choose from, it is not a huge setback. Kids tend to wear the same colors over and over again.
Printed Mint is one of the major suppliers on Printify but not all their products are available there. So if you see something you like but it’s not on Printify, you can source from Printed Mint directly (often at a cheaper price). Some drawbacks would be not having the same shipping options or integrations as Printify.

- Toddler rib dress
- Baby rib dress

11. Bags Of Love
If you’re based in the UK or looking for a POD company that uses GBP (British Pounds) as their main currency, then Bags Of Love is for you. Although their prices are quite expensive, printing quality is superb and shipping times are fast (only £5.99 within the UK).
There is quite a list of dresses for you to design with BOL – see below. Their dresses come in multiple fabric types and a wide range of sizes. You can choose to design for yourself, sell directly on the site’s marketplace or connect a standalone ecommerce store via Shopify.
BOL’s shipping fees for international deliveries is pretty expensive (£16.50 for North America) hence I don’t recommend using the site if you’re selling outside the UK.

Types of dresses you can design:
- Long slip dress
- Sleeveless midi dress
- Button through dress
- Beach dress
- Skater dress
- Hoodie dress
- T-shirt dress
- Scuba dress

12. Contrado
If you love Bags Of Love but want to pay in USD instead, check out their parent company’s site, Contrado. Products are almost similar but they do not offer photo collage templates on products like BOL.
Even in USD, prices are still on the higher side but Contrado is known for its great printing and product quality. Some of their products like canvas art and rugs come with long printing guarantees!
Contrado offers 25% academic discounts for students in the USA and Canada to design custom products. If you are a student interested in shopping for yourself (not designing), there’s also a 20% discount for you to enjoy.

Types of dresses you can design:
- Sleeveless midi dress

13. JetPrint
Are you into designing modest print on demand dresses? JetPrint has print on demand maxi dresses with long sleeves to offer! Sizes are quite limited as they are based in Asia, hence I don’t recommend using JetPrint if you plan to cater to the plus size market.
JetPrint is more known for their unique range of print on demand shoes. Generally, prices are a little more expensive compared to Yoycol and HugePOD but it’s still worth considering thanks to their additional services e.g. custom embroidery.

Types of dresses you can design:
- T-shirt dress
- Hoodie dress
- Robes
- Hoodie dress

14. MWW On Demand
Another site you can use to sell custom dresses online is MWW On Demand. Aside from Printed Mint, MWW On Demand is one of the suppliers available on Printify. Signing up to an account on their site isn’t very straightforward since you need to email them manually (no forms).
There are two dresses you can design with MWW On Demand – t-shirt dress or a racerback dress. They offer all-over-printing for both products but sizes are pretty limited (XS-XXL only).

- T-shirt dress
- Racerback dress

15. Kin Custom
Looking to purchase a dress for yourself? Kin Custom is a cute POD marketplace you can browse for dresses. Apart from buying one for yourself, consider designing with your artwork and selling with Kin Custom.
You can sell on their marketplace or create a separate ecommerce store using the integrations they offer. Compared to other print on demand marketplaces, Kin Custom has five dresses you can design including a halter dress and an off-shoulder dress!
If you’re wondering on how to add Kin Custom to Etsy, you’ll need to do it within your Kin Custom seller/designer dashboard. Check out this guide on how to integrate Kin Custom to an Etsy store.

How To Start Print On Demand Dresses
1. Choose a niche for your print on demand dresses
Just like all my other print on demand guides, choose a niche you’re personally interested in to make designs for these dresses. It does not only help provide clarity but it makes your workflow much more manageable especially when it’s a one person show.
2. Do research on what dress designs you should make
Once you have your niche decided (or if you haven’t, it’s fine), do some research on the kind of designs that sell best for that niche. You can try Googling to see sample designs to draw inspiration – Pinterest works for this too.
Alternatively, go straight to ecommerce platforms like Amazon or Etsy and directly analyze your competition. You can use Merch Informer to make your Amazon research more systematic.
3. Decide on a product you want to sell
Just like leggings, you should download the product design template for the dress you’re looking to sell – before even making the design. Template sizing can vary depending on the type of dress you’re designing for.
As an example, Printful’s skater dress has 5 different sections you can add designs to – top front, top back, front, back and inside label. Downloading the template beforehand allows you to make a design that accurately fits into the odd shape that you see below.
Also, the skirt section of the skater dress shapes like a wide cone when placed flat. Contrary to what most of us amateurs might think before this, skirts can’t be designed rectangular. Something to put into consideration when designing is how your skirt will look like when it drapes down and someone twirls in it.
So decide which dress you want to design for even before starting!
4. Join a print on demand fulfillment of your choice
If you’re a complete beginner, I highly suggest starting out with either Printful or Printify (choose one) and start selling on Etsy (free 40 listings for you!). Completely up to you which to join but you can find out which of these two I recommend here.
Selling on Etsy is the easiest way to get started with POD as a side hustle to supplement your full-time job – minimal overthinking!
5. Produce your own designs or outsource to others
If you’re clueless and it’s the first time you’re designing something in your life, Canva is a great place to start. Alternatively, take some time to learn how to design a little more professionally with Photoshop or Affinity Designer (best for Mac).
Don’t want to design yourself and want to focus entirely on selling? Outsource your designs to freelancers on Fiverr from as low as $5 per design or Upwork (professionals paid by hours).
6. Upload your designs to the dresses you want to sell
Once your designs are ready, uploading them is super easy. Position the designs nicely according to design frame and save it first. You don’t have to sync products to your shops immediately so revisit it later when you’re ready.
7. Create mockups for your dresses to make it look realer
Printful and Printify have great mockups, but that doesn’t mean you should stop there. If you want to stand out against competitors, consider using professional mockup generators like Placeit. You can get dress mockups for plus sizes and ones with a real life background to it, compared to the plain studio shoot.
8. Sync the product to your chosen store
Syncing your Printful or Printify dashboard to an Etsy shop or Shopify store is super easy and you can actually do this right away after signing up for one.
9. Decide on a profit margin and set a price
Price your dresses right from the start with a good margin of at least 40-50%. This is to cover any fees you’ll be charged for on Etsy and potential advertising expenses you’ll need to invest in for your business to grow.
Start from the top and test your products at a few common price points to analyze demand. You can always create seasonal promotions.
Read: How to boost sales exponentially with seasonal campaigns
10. Add billing method to your account
To process any incoming orders, you’ll have to pay Printful and Printify for the products beforehand. If this sounds tedious for you, add a billing method to your account for them to charge you automatically instead.
11. Repeat the process to build a collection of dresses
A good shop should consist of multiple cohesive designs, be it online or offline. I believe there’s some magic in the number 100 – so aim for your first 100 designs but always stick to your niche! Chances are if a customer likes one design, they’re going to like another two similar designs in the same collection.

3 Things To Consider For Print On Demand Dresses
1. Best seasons to wear dresses
If you’re in a tropical country, dresses can be worn all year round both indoors and outdoors. Chances are a large chunk of your customers would be from a four season country. In this case, dresses are great for outdoor wear during spring, summer and autumn – less in winter.
2. Patterns may not come up exactly repetitive
Not everyone is okay with wearing dresses with big patterns that don’t look like they were printed well. Especially if they were priced too high! Anyway, this is a normal thing so a disclaimer in descriptions would be good to give heads up before they make a purchase.
3. Complementary products to sell together
Dresses are not always worn on its own, plus it’s nice to mix and match! Think outside the box on how you can get more items sold per order i.e. how to get your customers to pay for three products instead of just one. A good way is to offer complementary products that go well with the main dress e.g. leggings, belts, knee high socks or even a jacket.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Printful’s all over print dresses are great print on demand bodycon dress anyone can make by placing their designs. It is available in multiple sizes from XS to XL size and the material stretches well. Bodycon dresses are naturally form fitting and follow the outline of a person’s body shape.
Print on demand dress shirts are popular all season for their stylish oversized look. It is easily worn on its own for a comfortable night in and paired with leggings or blazers for a casual day out. Printful offers t-shirt dress in 11 sizes as people prefer looser fits for a freer movement.
