1. Printify

In my list of print on demand bags to design, Printify is on the top as they offer a wide range of products (over 40 kinds of bags!). This is also true for zipper pouches (or makeup bags) but there’s only one type of wallet you can design on the site.

I generally recommend Printify for new POD sellers as prices are reasonable than others. They work with multiple printing facilities all over the world including in the USA, Canada, Europe and New Zealand.

Once you’ve advanced with growing sales month over month, you can subscribe to their Printify Premium plan to enjoy savings of about 23% off normal product costs. This would mean a higher profit rate for you!

Here’s a sample of a Printify zipper pouch I created using a seamless pattern design from Creative Fabrica. I uploaded the design file and made it repeat all over using Printify’s pattern tool, then I added my own text.

The zipper wallet is made of PU leather, comes in one size and gold stitching is featured on the edges.

2. Prodigi

Prodigi is often featured in most of POD guides for paper products but they also sell custom home decor and apparel items. They’re a UK-based print on demand company but some items are fulfilled in the USA for faster turnaround.

People are becoming more conscious of their purchase nowadays and would prefer getting something that can fulfill two functions. This is true for those who love using cards over holding cash (because who holds that much cash anymore?) and makes folio wallet cases look like a practical product.

Folio wallet cases is big enough to carry business cards and IDs so you don’t have to carry two items everywhere anymore. Although it’s made of faux leather, the product comes with a satin finish that makes your designs look bolder when printed.

3. Gooten

Wallets on Gooten are similar to the ones on Prodigi. Both folio wallet cases feature a card slot-in area on the side, a dark grey interior and comes with a grey elastic band for security.

As folio wallet cases are largely meant to fit phones, the ones on Gooten and Prodigi can be customized for Samsung and Apple phone models. However, there are far more phone model options on Prodigi compared to Gooten – for both Samsung and Apple.

The other downside for Gooten is that their folio wallet cases are only fulfilled in USA compared five countries on Prodigi. Both sites provide design templates for you to download so your designs can be made accurately for each phone model!

4. Inkedjoy

If you’re looking to source cheap wallets or purses, Inkedjoy is definitely an option. They integrate with popular ecommerce platforms including Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce.

All of their POD wallets and purses are just under $10 with shipping charges excluded. Shipping to the USA should take about 5-20 days depending on the courier service you’re going with. There are 12 options in total (varies with product) and some requires a phone number so be sure to check to confirm your selection.

Smaller wallets are best for travelling and for lovers of small handbags, it should fit better alongside other important things. Inkedjoy also has a MagSafe card holder for newer iPhones so that’s a nicer option compared to the bulky folio wallet cases above.

Planning to purchase custom wallets or purses in bulk? HugePOD offers discounts for large purchases, about 20% off for orders of more than 100 units.

There’s only a single type of long purse you can design on HugePOD but it comes in multiple base colors and prices are much cheaper than others (not as low as Inkedjoy’s). The price shown includes printing on one side so you may need to pay extra for double-sided printing.

Other items you can sell in your store alongside purses are makeup bags, luggage tags and even keychains!

8. Bags Of Love

If you’re based in the UK and planning to sell primarily to the locals, Bags Of Love is the next best option after Contrado. They’re another brand under the Contrado Group which looks to serve the UK market.

The main difference between BOL and its parent site is BOL offers a lot more customization options, including designing photo collages on most products. This is also applicable to their wallets and purses, so you’re able to choose ready collage templates for you to add your own photos to.

These personalized products make a great gift for a loved one! Selection of wallets on both BOL and Contrado is almost the same, with both offering the same customization features (stitching, zipper colors).

    • Focus on your chosen niche for the next 100 designs!
  2. Do research on best selling and trendy designs
  3. Make your own designs or outsource
    • You can make your own designs using Kittl or Canva
    • If you want to buy designs, get them on Creative Fabrica or Envato Elements
    • Some important things to know are design file sizes and printing layout (if any)
  4. Sign up for an account with any of the sites I’ve listed above
    • You’ll have to create an account with one of the sites I’ve mentioned above to start selling
    • Choose one supplier that resonates to you the most with the right products you’ve envisioned for your business
  5. Upload designs to products
    • Uploading designs to supplier’s products is super easy and you should be able to do this once an account is created
    • Position the design correctly when uploading as the actual product will look the same as what you see online
  6. Set a suitable profit margin for each product
    • On most sites, you should be able to set a selling price once you’ve done uploading the design
    • A suitable margin should be 40%-50% depending on the platform you’re selling on and any fees you’ll incur on each sale
    • This excludes shipping charges to customers!
  7. Sync them to your ecommerce store
    • You would need to integrate your ecommerce store e.g. Etsy or Shopify before you’re able to sell so do that first
    • Sync the ready product to your store to start selling them publicly
  8. Start selling and repeat!
    • Repeat the process and you’ll get some sales with time!
    • Increase your chances of success by uploading more quality designs and bringing in traffic to your store with ads (if you’re not selling on a marketplace)

Hey there! Abby here - the founder of Passive Marketeer and also the main writer on the site. My love for ecommerce and online marketing was something I found through my 9-5 sales job. It was mind boggling at first that we're able to make an income online passively in today's world! If you're still feeling that way, know that you're not alone.

That's why, I decided to help others by sharing findings through my own research on today's ecommerce world. When I'm not writing, I'm either running my online biz, traveling, cooking or gardening.
