Abby B. When we talk about flags, we often think of national flags. But truth is, there are so many other kinds of flags one can create. Whether it’s for an event or merely as home decor, flags are underrated amazing products to design and sell online!

11 Print On Demand Flags Fulfillment Sites
1. Printify
If you’re unsure of the type of flag you want to design, you should consider the use first. Where will you position the item and what is it for? If it’s mainly for placing around your house i.e. for an event, Printify has the right products for you.
You can design garden flags, house banners and even the usual flags (with f) on Printify. As they work with multiple printing companies across the globe, prices and quality can be different for each. It’s best to do some research on the company before choosing your product – you can see their ratings on each product page.
I usually recommend Printify to beginners in print on demand as their catalog is wide-ranging and prices are cheaper than most. There’s also extra savings for you to enjoy once your business grows if you subscribe to their Printify Premium plan – check out my pricing analysis against Printful here.
Here’s a sample of Printify’s garden flag I designed from scratch using their AI image generator. I chose a design style I liked and wrote a simple text prompt – these are the results after a single attempt!
You get a maximum of 15 daily attempts and can retrieve images stored in your history. I added a line of text at the bottom of the flag after stretching the image to fill the entire print space. The only drawback of the AI image generator is that images generated are small in size and low resolution, so it’s probably only practical for small products.
Who knows, this might be a nice flag to decorate your house with for a wedding or anniversary celebration!
2. Printful
Compared to Printify, there’s only a single type of flag you can design on Printful. As most products on Printful are all-over-print products, it’s no surprise that their flags are the same!
It’s only available in one size which is slightly smaller than the biggest flag sold on Printify. If you’re comparing their prices (before discounts), Printify’s largest flag is about $20.15 while Printful’s is priced at $17.25.
Subscribing to either Printify Premium or Printful Growth plan would make the two products priced quite equally at about $15+! So there’s not much pricing difference for this one if you’re a serious business.
Here’s a sample of a rectangular all over print flag I designed on Printful using one of their quick designs. You can change the size of the clipart and background color but for this one, I maintained everything as is. No images were uploaded!
Aside from designing the front main side, you can also add and customize the look of your brand name on their inside labels for free.

3. Merchize
If you like Printify’s catalog but looking for something even cheaper, you should check out Merchize – a print on demand company based in Vietnam. In a glance, you might think that their prices are more expensive but it actually includes standard shipping to the US.
When browsing through their catalog, you will find that they have similar products in two different listings. This may be due to the difference in printing location – some may be printed in Vietnam while the others are printed in China. Products that are printed in China can only be shipped to the US so take a good look before syncing the product to your store.
Similar to Printful, most products on Merchize are all over print which includes their flags. The wall flags are great for decorating bedrooms where you don’t want to nail frames to the wall while garden and house flags are best placed outdoors.
I would recommend going with Merchize if you’re an experienced seller as you’ll need to manage customers’ expectations on shipping times!

4. Gooten
If you are indeed an experienced seller and looking for a business-focused fulfillment, I suggest going with Gooten. You’ll need to state your print on demand experience when applying to open a Gooten account so it’s not a feasible option for beginners.
For flags, they only offer a single type of yard flag which is similar to a garden flag. You might think that it is easy to design flags but Gooten still provides design templates for you to download and refer to. There’s a chance that you miss grey areas which are essentially where folding and stitching is done – you can’t leave it blank!
Gooten’s yard flags can be designed on both sides so people can see the signs when they’re coming from different directions. It’s available in three sizes and printed in the USA. The only drawback is that the real product does not include a stand or pole.

5. Contrado
Looking for a fulfillment that lets you design high quality flags in custom sizes? Contrado is the best option for you. Some of their products like rugs even have a 10-year printing guarantee so they’re really confident of their quality.
Their custom flags are made using waterproof and windproof fabric for extra durability if you plan to place them outdoors. You can choose to design them with an eyelet or a pole pocket. The ready size options are much smaller than others I’ve explained above so if you’re looking for something larger, you’ll need to choose a custom size.
As Contrado is UK-based, their flags are printed and shipped from the UK. If you’re based in the US and need your product fast, you shouldn’t worry too much as they offer express shipping for you to get your orders in just 1-2 days (post-shipping).

6. Bags Of Love
If you like what you see on Contrado but you want to design a unique flag for a loved one, I suggest making them with Bags Of Love’s ready photo collage templates. BOL is a brand under Contrado that ships all orders from London and you can pay for your orders in GBP (British Pounds).
Just like Contrado, BOL’s prices are on the higher side but it’s compensated with their quality printing and fast shipping times within the UK (can be overnight!). The only drawback for both of these platforms is that their flags are a little see through so you can see your designs even if you’re looking from the back side.
When using BOL’s ready photo collages, you’ll just need to choose a template that you like and upload your photos to fill the frame. I personally like their scatter template but if you don’t like any, you can actually create your own unique collage with their DIY template.

7. Teelaunch
Don’t find any use of garden flags because you don’t have a garden? There’s wall flags for you to design on Teelaunch and for a product that’s printed in the USA, it’s pretty affordable.
It’s only available in one size that is the same as Printify’s largest flag (36″ x 60″) and it’s only $15.50 each. That’s the price you would pay if you sign up to Printify Premium or Printful Growth subscription!
The product is only printed on one side and although it’s slightly see through, it shouldn’t be an issue if you placed it against a wall. It comes ready with two gold-colored eyelets on the left side (top & bottom corner).
If you’re interested in selling home decor in your store including rare kitchen products alongside your custom flags, Teelaunch is the fulfillment to go with. You can design engraved wooden chopping boards as well as wooden platters, plates and bowls!

8. Helloprint
Out of the many sites listed in this article, Helloprint has the most options for custom printed flags! They’re a company based in the Netherlands but have different websites for seven different countries in the Europe.
The sample in the screenshot below is based off their UK website. Even if you’re based in the US, it’s nice to know that Helloprint ships worldwide. Aside from the usual rectangular flags, you can customize beach flags, banner flags, shop flags and golf flags on their site (full list down below).
Some products like their facade flags require a minimum ordering quantity of 10 units but others can be ordered in just a single unit. Unlike other sites, you can also purchase flag accessories on Helloprint. This includes the parasol base, black base plate, flag poles, wall suspension and water bags (meant for beach flags).
Super cool as some people might find it daunting to research flag accessories separately!
Just to provide a general overview on the buying experience of flags on Helloprint, here’s an example for you. When buying their beach flags, you can choose from three sizes, a few material options (including eco-friendly materials) and the side color of the flag.
You can also choose to buy the flag only or add on extra accessories to go with it. Ordering more than one unit will get you bulk discounts (about 46% if buying 6 units of beach flags) plus you can choose your preferred delivery date. There’s at least two options for earlier delivery which will incur different surcharges!
Helloprint will provide a design proof for you to approve before they proceed with the production of your order. For best results, remember to download their design templates before making your design.

9. Zazzle
Want to design flags and sell them on a print on demand marketplace? Zazzle is one of the few that lets you do so!
Although there are no large flags you can sell with Zazzle, they offer a few options for garden flags and house flags (similar to Printify’s). Both comes in a single size only and are made using weather-proof polyester material as they’re meant to be placed outdoors.
The best thing about selling on Zazzle is that your customers can further customize your designs by adding their own text or image. Slightly similar to Helloprint, your customers will also have the option to add a pole or an adjustable mounting bracket to their order for about $15 each.
Here’s a sample of a house flag I customized on Zazzle. I added my own text and changed the background image, while retaining the layout and type of font created by the original designer.

10. 99DIY
If you want to design garden flags in large sizes but for a lower price, 99DIY has a few options to consider. Like most, they do not sell the flags with the stand or pole so you’ll need to source them separately.
They offer garden flags that can be designed and printed on both sides. As most are made using polyester, garden flags are usually machine washable just in case it gets dirty from being outdoors.
Similar to Merchize, some products on 99DIY can only be shipped to the USA as they’re printed in the country – including their flags. So read the descriptions carefully before proceeding. However, if you choose flags that are shipped directly from China, do expect longer-than-usual shipping times – about 10-15 working days depending on your delivery address!

Much like 99DIY, Inkedjoy supplies custom flags from two printing locations – China or the USA. There are only two options when browsing their catalog so you won’t be confused.
If you’re ordering to a US-based address, choose the one that is printed in the USA to shorten shipping time – plus it includes free shipping! You should also avoid mixing the order with products that are not made in the USA.
Inkedjoy’s garden flags are much larger (36″ x 60″) than the ones on 99DIY and Printify so it’s definitely a much cheaper option at $13+ (excluding shipping). They’re an all over print product and same designs will be printed on both sides.
As it does not come with a specific stand or pole, you have a choice to use the flag in a few ways. This includes placing it on a vertical garden stand or installing it to a pole that goes into a slanted wall mount.

- Niching down is great to attract the right audience with your print on demand flags
- Some examples would be flags designed with short quotes, event signages or abstract patterns
- Focus on your chosen niche for the next 100 designs!
- Do research on best selling and trendy designs
- Before making any designs, find out what’s working in the market
- A quick trick is to Google or search for them on Etsy
- Or use keyword research tools like Sale Samurai or Marmalead
- Make your own designs or outsource
- You can make your own designs using Kittl or Canva
- If you want to buy designs, get them on Creative Fabrica or Envato Elements
- Some important things to know are design file sizes and printing layout (if any)
- Sign up for an account with any of the sites I’ve listed above
- You’ll have to create an account with one of the sites I’ve mentioned above to start selling
- Choose one supplier that resonates to you the most with the right products you’ve envisioned for your flags business
- Upload designs to products
- Uploading designs to supplier’s products is super easy and you should be able to do this once an account is created
- Position the design correctly when uploading as the actual product will look the same as what you see online
- Set a suitable profit margin for each product
- On most sites, you should be able to set a selling price once you’ve done uploading the design
- A suitable margin should be 40%-50% depending on the platform you’re selling on and any fees you’ll incur on each sale
- This excludes shipping charges to customers!
- Sync them to your ecommerce store
- You would need to integrate your ecommerce store e.g. Etsy or Shopify before you’re able to sell so do that first
- Sync the ready product to your store to start selling them publicly
- Sites like Zazzle have their own marketplace for you to sell your products – so you don’t need a separate store to use them
- Start selling and repeat!
- Repeat the process and you’ll get some sales with time!
- Increase your chances of success by uploading more quality designs and using professional mockup tools like Placeit
- Consider bringing in traffic to your store with ads (if you’re not selling on a marketplace)
