7 Best Print On Demand Umbrellas For You To Customize
1. Contrado
If you’re a true artist that wants to print your designs on unique high quality products with superb printing, there’s no better site to work with than Contrado. Prices are on the higher side but there’s a ton of products you can customize and some may even come with 10-year printing guarantees.
Although there’s no such guarantee for umbrellas, you’re still promised an order that’s hand-printed using 100% water-proof poly fabric!
Your customers can choose between a large umbrella with a black handle or a brown one. They can also add-on cloth bags with their umbrella purchase by selecting a printed cloth bag or a plain cloth bag at the product page.
Contrado typically ships orders for umbrellas in 2-3 days of ordering and offers worldwide shipping.
Here are some samples of print on demand umbrellas designed by individual artists and sold on Contrado’s website.

2. Bags Of Love
Love the products offered on Contrado but want a POD company that ships from the UK? Bags Of Love is the one for you to try. Their catalog of products is almost exactly the same as Contrado’s, as it is in fact a brand under Contrado.
You get to enjoy fast local shipping in the UK and pay for your orders using GBP (British Pounds) instead of USD. Just like their parent company, BOL’s prices is on the higher end but you benefit from the same amazing printing quality and product quality nevertheless.
Aside from just designing regular umbrellas, you can also create photo collage umbrellas on BOL. Just select one of their ready collage templates and upload multiple photos when customizing your order.
You can take advantage of this feature if you’re looking to design umbrellas for a special occasion e.g. weddings or when gifting someone special. Make it a unique merchandise to remember!

3. VistaPrint
If you’re looking to order mini umbrellas in large quantities for marketing campaigns or events, you should consider going for Vistaprint. Although the website offers a slightly different umbrella printing than all others in this article, it’s still worth considering – for some!
To start, you can only choose between a blue or a black umbrella with no other color options. When designing, you’re only able to upload a single logo or image that will be printed on one side of the product as they do not offer all-over-printing.
You also need to order a minimum of 18 units of umbrellas in one order. Even though it’s a pretty fair requirement and the per unit price is quite reasonable, you’ll have to pay a $29.99 setup fee.
Good thing is, customers get to enjoy volume discount when ordering more than 18 units – it starts from 2% and goes up to 35%!
Types of umbrellas you can design:
- Automatic umbrella with blue background (small)
- Automatic umbrella with black background (small)

4. HugePOD
Need more color options than just blue or black and want to design all-over print umbrellas that are affordable? I highly recommend checking out HugePOD as there are over 19 color options you can choose from!
Just like most, HugePOD offers a single type of umbrella for you to design and it’s priced reasonably at just $13.35 per unit excluding shipping. If you were tempted to order the 18 units on VistaPrint, just know you get to enjoy 5% off by ordering the same on HugePOD with their bulk discounts (refer image below).
You can even order just one unit if that’s what you need!
Whether you’re designing for yourself or for an event, it makes a lot of sense to place your orders with HugePOD. I find their website simple to use and there’s ample products for you to sell.
However, you’ll need to consider shipping charges before making any decisions. HugePOD is based in China and the cheapest shipping to the USA starts from $8.30 for one umbrella and you’ll need to add $4.06-4.58 for additional units of umbrellas.
Of course, if you’re ordering over 100, you should consult with their team to get the best shipping rates. Shop smart!

5. Yoycol
Another print on demand site you can use to order custom umbrellas that’s even cheaper than HugePOD is Yoycol. They even offer bulk discounts of up to 10% and you don’t have to order 100 units to pay $10 per umbrella – you just need 50!
Although the photo below makes it look like it’s a big umbrella, it’s actually a small one with buttons to push when you’re opening (a.k.a. automatic umbrella). It also comes with a cover that’s printed with the same matching design.
There’s three shipping options you can choose when ordering – standard, fast or express. Their standard shipping charges for umbrellas to the US and the UK starts from $9.94 and it should arrive within 10-20 days.

6. JetPrint
Worried that your umbrellas can’t stand the harsh winds? JetPrint’s umbrellas are made using iron and fiberglass. The eight ribs supporting the umbrella when opened are made from strong fiber for extra durability!
There’s two types of umbrellas you can sell with JetPrint which includes automatic and manual ones. You can also choose between selling the normal kind or ones with UV protection.
The difference between automatic and manual opened umbrellas is that the former usually comes with a button that you need to press for it to open, while the latter needs to be pushed manually.
If you’re selling for the rainy or windy seasons, automatic ones make sense!
JetPrint is more popular for their wide range of print on demand footwear. If you’ve decided on selling stuffs for the outdoors, consider selling their boots as well!

7. Inkedjoy
I definitely saved the best for last. In this case, the last has the best selection of print on demand umbrellas for you to sell.
Custom umbrellas on Inkedjoy are both cheap and wide-ranging. Other than the usual automatic and manual umbrellas, you can also design umbrellas with underside printing. These umbrellas can only be designed on the inner side instead of the outer sides.
So if you’re the shy type and don’t want others to see your quirky cool designs, printing them on the inner side means that only you can see your designs (when opened)! The outer side will be in solid all black color.
I would only recommend working with China-based print on demand companies if you’re well experienced in handling longer-than-usual shipping times and managing customer’s expectations.
Shipping rates to the USA can equal to the product’s cost but you should be able to make good amount of profit still (definitely over 60%)!

- Semi-automatic foldable umbrellas
- Auto-foldable umbrella

7 Things To Know Before Designing Print On Demand Umbrellas
- It’s best to sell umbrellas with abstract designs or patterns as they usually look fine even when wide-open and curved.
- Sales of umbrellas can be seasonal depending on weather. If you’re selling in Asia where rain is common, the demand should be the same all year long.
- When designing umbrellas, it’s important to consider how the design will look to others from a distance.
- If you don’t want to worry about design visibility when in use, sell umbrellas where designs will be printed all-over instead of just on one side.
- A minimalist typography design can sell well and you don’t always need a full colored design!
- It’s best to stick to a dark colored design so it will provide good shade against the sun.
- Square images is a better choice for when you’re designing umbrellas so the designs are placed proportionately on all sides.
