17 Best Print On Demand Bags Fulfillment Companies
1. Printify
If you’re looking to design different types of bags, Printify has one of the best catalogs. There’s over 40 types of bags to sell including bag accessories like custom luggage tags. Printify works with multiple printing partners worldwide and make it easier for you to sell with their own integrations.
I always recommend Printify for beginners as prices are cheap and products are wide-ranging. You can even save about 23% on product cost by subscribing to their Printify Premium plan.
To prove to you that it’s reasonably priced, you can check out my pricing analysis of Printify against Printful here. If you’re looking for print on demand luggage, Printify does not offer them and most websites only sells luggage tags or luggage covers.
Here’s a sample of a Printify print on demand diaper bag I created using a seamless pattern design from Creative Fabrica. I uploaded the design file and made it repeat all over using Printify’s pattern tool. Some parts are left blank so I chose a background color that goes with the main design.
Types of bags you can design:

- Linen bags
- Clutch bags
- Weekender bags
- Laundry bags
- Toiletry bags
- Makeup bags
- Cosmetic bags
- Duffle bags

2. Printful
There isn’t a lot bags on Printful compared to Printify but they have some unique ones. Aside from plain no-brand bags, Printful also lets you customize branded ones from Champion or Adidas – see below.
In most of my POD guides, I find Printful to be more expensive than Printify. However, it is actually cheaper to sell Printful’s drawstring bags instead of Printify’s – even with the Printify Premium subscription.
Most of Printful’s bags are all over print, meaning you can upload a design to the entire surface area. This includes their duffle bags and fanny packs.
Here’s a sample of a print on demand duffle bag I created on Printful using another design from Creative Fabrica. Similar to the backpack above, there are seven sides you can customize including adding an inside label for branding purposes.
Perfect for summer trips!
Types of bags you can design:
- Backpacks
- Laptop sleeves
- Duffle bags
- Tote bags
- Fanny packs
- All-over-print bags

3. Prodigi
If you’re looking for a UK-based print on demand company, Prodigi is one of the options you have. Most products are shipped worldwide from the UK and production takes less than three days.
For shopping bags, designs are printed on both sides using water-based inks (eco-friendly). It comes with a strong 18″ black canvas strap to hold groceries nicely even when heavy. Just like Printify and Printful, Prodigi is a fully white label fulfillment company and your customers will not receive anything with their branding.

4. Gooten
There aren’t many bag options to design with Gooten but I personally like their print on demand cosmetic bags. Though it can only be printed on one side, it can be used to store cosmetics, school supplies or just everyday items.
As bags are not the most straightforward products to design, it helps that Gooten provides templates in JPG and PSD for artists to refer to. This ensures your designs fit perfectly within the print areas and covers all necessary angles especially for multifaceted bags like duffle bags.
I don’t suggest beginners to use Gooten as you’ll need some experience to sign up for an account. They’ll ask you if you already have an existing print on demand store at sign up!

There isn’t a lot of bags on Art Of Where, but there’s a variety of tote bags you can sell with them. Some bags like their day tote is really chic looking and can be printed on the inside & outside.
If you’re looking for a print on demand fulfillment for Canada-based audience, AOW is one of my recommendations. You can even choose the strap’s material and color for some of the tote bags, plus add your brand label on the inside.

Interested to sell unique types of bags on a large scale? There’s over 100 types of custom bags you can design with Inkedjoy. Product prices are on the cheaper end as most of their items are printed in China. Nothing beyond $22!
Inkedjoy is one of the more unique print on demand fulfillments to work with as they have a wide range of products, including rugs and shoes. Some cool items include print on demand messenger bags, saddle bags and chest bags.

7. Redbubble
While I started my print on demand journey with Redbubble, there’s a few other POD marketplaces that I’d recommend for new artists trying to make money online. I personally find Redbubble easy to use and convenient as you can upload a design to multiple products at once!
You can sell backpacks, duffle bags, drawstring bags, tote bags and toiletry bags with Redbubble. Their toiletry bags come in three sizes and are multi-purpose. Smaller ones are suitable for keeping stationery and larger ones are best for makeups or tech accessories.
The standard commission you can make on Redbubble is 20%. If your designs are unique against most artists, I would suggest fixing a 30% commission rate instead.

- Drawstring bags
- Duffle bags

8. Merchize
Not confident in sourcing products from China? The next best alternative is Vietnam! Merchize is a POD company based in Vietnam with cheaper-than-average prices.
They have a great catalog of products you can depend on, including candles, doormats and socks. However, there are only four types of bags you can sell with Merchize and there are no all-over-prints in their bag selection.
As most bags come with a black strap, dark themed designs are best. Using contrasting colors like white, bright red and striking blue will do well too – avoid pastels!

- Christmas sacks

HugePOD also has bag accessories like luggage tags that are suitable to be attached to large sized bags. You can sell these as complementary products in a single ecommerce store and upsell to customers.
If you have a physical shop or booth to sell your designed bags and need inventory, HugePOD has bulk purchase discounts for you to enjoy. When purchasing 100 pieces or more, there’s 20% off!

10. Printed Mint
Not looking to make regular bags? Printed Mint has shiny sequin bags! They also have a similar shiny product for phone cases.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can cross-sell Printed Mint’s bags and phone cases in your shop. If a customer likes one of it, there’s a chance they like the other and buys both – almost always works!
Printed Mint is one of the suppliers on Printify but not all their products are available there and it’s usually cheaper if you buy from Printed Mint directly. However, they don’t offer the same shipping options or integrations as Printify.

For bags, there’s only one type of product you can design with Teelaunch and it’s a large sized backpack. It can fall under print on demand travel bags as it can carry clothing and bigger items.
As they’re waterproof, Teelaunch’s backpacks are ideal for backpacking and outdoor use! Your designs will be printed on the top flap, everything else is fixed.

12. Contrado
If you’re based in the UK and looking to source from a local company, Contrado is one you should explore. There’s an assortment of bags to design with Contrado and though prices are on the high side, their quality is worth the money.
Most products on Contrado comes with multiyear printing guarantees so you’re assured of their quality. They also have print on demand leather bags for phones if you’re looking to sell something different (and a bit more affordable). Larger print on demand handbags are priced up to $400!
While Contrado operates in USD, you can look into their other in-house brand called Bags Of Love. Products are similar but items on BOL is priced in GBP (British Pounds) and there’s a feature to design collage by uploading multiple images.

Apart from their fanny packs, Society6 offers similar products to Redbubble. This includes duffle bags, tote bags, backpacks and even multipurpose pouches.
Some may feel bags are an expensive purchase so it’s good that customers get to pay in four interest-free installments on Society6. They also have the flexibility to return a purchase within 60 days if unsatisfied.

15. Apliiq
If you want to set up a store that specializes in duffle bags, Apliiq has eight different ones to offer. All of their duffle bags has the maximum capacity of 29 liters – enough to fit everything you need for a staycation. It’s also waterproof and the shoulder straps can be detached.
Instead of the normal digital printing, bags on Apliiq can only be embroidered. You’ll need to pay a one-time digitization fee of $11 for every new design uploaded. Embroidery has a cooler vibe and gives a nicer feel compared to the usual prints.
Here’s an article I wrote on 11 major differences between Apliiq and Printful. Give it a read before you decide!

How To Start Selling Print On Demand Bags
1. Choose a niche for your print on demand bags
Whether you’re looking to sell via Etsy or on Shopify, decide on a niche for your store. Contrary to popular belief that you should widen your chances by being a jack of all trades, niching down is beneficial especially for beginners. It’ll make your work so much easier and focused!
Some examples of a bag niche are laptop sleeves for university students, drawstring bags for women at the gym or fanny packs for people who love to skate.

2. Do research on what bag designs you should make
Getting some inspiration from other brands online can greatly help – however, do not copy another person’s product. A quick Google search can show you some of the best designs in the market but to know whether they actually sell, check out Amazon or Etsy. There’s an icon of how many sales were made for a particular product.
3. Decide on a product you want to sell
You don’t need to sell all types of bags and you don’t have to stick to only one. Tote bags, laptop cases and drawstring bags are some popular bags to start with. Designing these are pretty straightforward and they’re used in almost everyone’s daily life.
If you’re looking to start selling tote bags, you can find my detailed guide here for tote bags only! I will always encourage you to focus on best selling products first instead of doing everything that has little to no proven results.
4. Join a print on demand fulfillment of your choice
Based on my list above, sign up to a print on demand platform that matches your business plans the most! As a complete beginner, I recommend joining Printify or Printful first – one platform should be enough for you to learn and test your skills. You don’t want to feel overwhelmed by joining too many in the beginning.
5. Produce your own designs or outsource to others
You can use Photoshop, Canva or Kittl (best for beginners!). Scale the business later on by hiring freelance designers on Fiverr or Upwork.
Before designing, get the right design template for the product you want to sell – this differs for each type of bag. Download the template by heading to the product detail page and share it to your designers before they start designing. You don’t want to do work twice!
6. Upload your designs to the bags you want to sell
Once you have your designs ready, you can upload them easily. Even if you don’t have a shop ready yet (you can get 40 free Etsy listings here), you can upload and save these designs within Printify’s or Printful’s dashboard first then sync them later.
To upload a design on Printful:
- Sign in to your dashboard.
- Click on “Product Templates” on the left sidebar.
- Click “Create your first product template”.
- Scroll down to “Accessories” and choose “Bags”.
- Click on the bag you want to design.
- You can upload files of designs you have.
- For the fanny pack, you can upload designs to the Front, Top, Back, Inside Pocket and Inside Label
- Add design elements within the dashboard itself e.g. text or clipart.
- This is a quick patterned design I used from Printful itself. There’s a mockup view for you to see how the design will look once printed.
- Click next to review and click on “save product template”.
- It will be saved in your list of product templates
7. Create mockups for your bags to make it look real
Depending on the bag you’re selling, you can make things look more interesting with professional mockups. I highly recommend using Placeit if you’re selling tote bags, laptop sleeves or drawstring bags since these mockups are pretty straightforward.
8. Sync the product to your chosen store
There’s so many stores you can sell at with Printify or Printful as they integrate with different platforms. The most common ones are Etsy, Shopify, Wix and WooCommerce.
If you’re a total newbie and short on funds, selling on Etsy is the most feasible – get 40 free listings here to avoid fees.
9. Decide on a profit margin and set a price
Each platform has different fees for listing products and charges when you make a sale. Hence, don’t lowball your own products. You want make a reasonable amount of profit after deducting product cost, fees and advertising expenses – it’s a business after all!
Do research on what other POD sellers are charging – be realistic and don’t compare with big brands. A good margin for white label should range from 40-50% to test out.
10. Repeat the process to build a collection of bag designs
To build your print on demand bags business, you’ll have to offer a lot of designs and continue testing new products. Tap new audiences, grow traffic to your store and increase your chance of making sales.
3 Things To Know Print On Demand Bags
1. Dimensions of designs should be bigger
Bags especially duffle bags and cabin suitcases are relatively large compared to other print on demand products. It’s best to make your designs in large dimensions. If Canva’s dimensions is not big enough, simply export your Canva designs and make them larger in Photoshop.
2. Multiple design upload can make things fun
As you can see from the sample above, bags like the fanny pack and duffle bag allows for multiple uploading of designs to each side of the bag. Don’t let the norm limit your creativity, you can make your product unique by uploading different designs for each side!
3. Be mindful for product that is cut & sewn
If a product has “cut & sewn” written on their product page, it means the roll of fabric is printed whenever there’s an order then it is cut and sewn together to make a piece of product. Designs are not directly printed onto a ready product!
This is applicable for drawstring bags. You would need two different files – one for the front and one for the back, even if they’re essentially the same. This prevents your bag to look like it was printed upside down on one side – as there are no seams at the bottom.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Drawstring bag is a popular print on demand product on Printful where the fabric is printed, cut and sewn for each order. The bags are durable and can hold up to 15kg in weight. Drawstring bags are great for adults when heading to the gym, going on a hike or for teens attending lessons after school.
Bottom Line
There’s so many types of bags you can choose from to sell with print on demand. You’re spoilt with choices! Some of the bags I’ve explained above are on the intermediate level and requires extra work, beyond just using Canva.
If you’re looking for something easier to start with, feel free to explore my other guides. Tote bags are the easiest to explore!
