15 Best Print On Demand Pet Products

1. Printify

If you’ve been reading some of my print on demand guides, you’ll surely know that I always almost recommend Printify. They have a wide range of products at reasonable prices including printed pet products. They source items from a few printing partners so you have better alternatives to the kind of product you want to offer.

Printify offers two types of feeding mats – one in basic rectangle shape and the other in a slight bone shape. You can also personalize dog collars which comes in four sizes and four beautiful buckle colors. Suitable for any kind of cute dog!

Here’s a sample of a Printify pet product I created with a design downloaded from Creative Fabrica. You can customize two sections of the hoodie (hood & body). I uploaded the file image to the body and chose a simple red color background for the hood.

2. Printful

There’s not much choice for printed pet items on Printful but it’s a widely used platform for POD. Almost everyone uses it so I should include it regardless!

Printful offers two types of POD pet products for you to purchase, either for your cat or dog. Choose between their pet bandana or pet bowl!

Compared to Printify, you can find real customer reviews on product pages when browsing through Printful’s catalog. I find the one below incredibly useful.

Here’s a sample of a Printful pet bandana I created using one of their quick designs. No design was uploaded on my part and you can customize some elements of the design to your liking.

3. Printed Mint

Most pet products you see on Printify are actually printed and shipped by Printed Mint. So it’s good to know that you can source the same products directly from the original supplier – mostly for a cheaper price!

There are some limitations using Printed Mint as it does not integrate with most of the platforms offered by Printify. You should be okay if you’re selling on Etsy or Shopify. You can find my step-by-step guide here on how to start print on demand with Etsy.

PS: You can only get their collar pet bandana from Printed Mint’s website and not on Printify.

4. Redbubble

If you’re looking to get print on demand pet products from Australian-based company, Redbubble should be your go-to site. There aren’t as many options compared to Printify or Printed Mint, but it’s much easier selling on Redbubble as you don’t need a separate ecommerce store. Artists are able to set their own profit margins though the standard is 20%.

Users can sign up for an artist account or a customer (buying) account on the website for free. Prices might be more expensive than others, but their printing quality is great and they have amazing customer service.

Their pet mats come in a cute fish shape or a bone shape – perfect for both cats and dogs!

5. Contrado

Looking for a print on demand pet products UK-based company? Contrado is a great option to look into. Aside from custom printed pet accessories, they have a lot of other unique products that you can sell including home decor and candles (I highly recommend).

All orders are shipped from their factory based in the UK and I find their prices to be pretty reasonable given the quality. Quite similar to Redbubble, Contrado lets you sell on their platform (takes minutes to set up) or via ecommerce stores like Shopify.

Contrado’s pet beds come with thick insulating wadding, waterproof base and a 5-year guarantee for print quality. Pretty reassuring for sellers!

6. CafePress

I’m not a fan of CafePress just because I think their website looks pretty dated and product images aren’t the best. But we must give credit to the site for being one of the longest print on demand marketplace since 1999!

The only pet product CafePress offers is print on demand pet apparel (for dogs) in basic white color base. It’s great for wearing during spring/summer as its made of 100% cotton and comes in 6 sizes for smaller/larger dog breeds.

7. Subliminator

The only fulfillment company that supplies pet hoodies is Subliminator – you can even make matching hoodies with your dog (watch a tutorial video here). Most of the products on the site are all-over-print, meaning better quality printing and value for money. Including the dog hoodies!

The hoodies can be worn on cats as well and comes in two types – fashion hoodie and athletic hoodie. Athletic hoodie is made of polyester for better comfort when running or doing outdoor activities (you know, pets sweat too).

8. Prodigi

Another site worth looking into for its wide ranging catalog is Prodigi. For printed pet merchandise, Prodigi offers dog bandanas, metal pet tags (similar to Printful) and pet beds.

You can even sell metal tags in the shape of a bone with single-sided colored print. That’s more than what you can ask for on Printful! Instead of engraving, Prodigi uses dye-sublimination for these metal tags.

All prices are quoted in GBP and orders are shipped from the UK (great option for dropshipping pet supplies in UK). They don’t integrate seamlessly with all ecommerce platforms but you can find a guide on how to manually bulk upload orders from sites like Etsy, WooCommerce or Wix.

9. Gooten

An interesting pet product I found on Gooten is a retractable pet leash. It goes as far as 16 feet with a locking mechanism to prevent from pulling. The hook needs to be attached to a pet collar so you’ll get to sell two products at once! It only makes sense to do so.

Their print on demand pet collar come in black color base instead of the normal white you can find on Printify. I think black makes more sense especially when you have pets that loves going into dirt. Comes in two sizes too!

10. GearLaunch

While all other fulfillment offers a single type of pet bed, GearLaunch has two types. You can choose to design different pet beds for indoor or outdoor use. My tip is to design both and increase your chances of sale!

Material used for outdoor beds are waterproof while indoor ones are softer. Printing is one-sided with the bottom part black for outdoor beds and brown for indoor beds. As a customer, I might just get both!

Both beds come in three sizes making it the perfect choice as pets vary greatly in sizes (especially true for different dog breeds). The cover is detachable from the bed allowing pet owners to wash them in the washing machine from time-to-time.

11. Zazzle

I’m not a fan of Zazzle as I always find Redbubble the easiest POD marketplace to sell on (true for newbies). However, they have a lot more pet products compared to Redbubble with great reviews – I’ve attached one here.

Zazzle’s pet tags are more unique than others in this list and even if you’re not planning to sell them, you can order a customized one for your own pet.

There’s definitely more options for customized pet products on Zazzle. As an example, you can find an image below of a pet bowl where customers can choose between different colors of the same product in a single listing.

Customers can even purchase personalized pet products by adding their pet’s name to it!

12. Merchize

Don’t mind sourcing pet products from Asia? Merchize is a great POD company you should check out. Most of their orders are shipped worldwide from Vietnam and some from China (ships to the USA only).

Their Hawaiian pet shirts are cute and you can’t find a similar product anywhere else in this list. It’s suitable for both cats and dogs – best worn during warmer seasons when your pets are out and about. You don’t need to worry as there’s a snap button closure to keep it secured.

The pet shirt is an all-over-print product so your designs can be printed throughout. Pet owners can get a matching shirt too by ordering Merchize’s AOP button down shirt!

13. Bags Of Love

If you’re based in the UK and wish to sell print on demand pet products locally, Bags Of Love is a practical option. It’s a brand created under Contrado and I believe it’s all just the same as their parent site – you can also sell directly on their marketplace.

The catalog is pretty similar but prices displayed are in GBP instead of USD. They have few extra pet products in addition to what Contrado offers including pet treat tins, pet mat collage and pet towels.

Bags Of Love’s pet towels are very useful for those who love going outdoors, swimming or take frequent showers. The microfiber material ensures higher absorption and dries your furry loved ones faster! These towels comes in five sizes, ideal for pets of all sizes.

14. 99DIY

Not liking the idea of metal pet tags? 99DIY supplies all-over-print pet tags made of PU leather. It may not be the best material for outdoor pets but it’s very cheap at only $1.97 per unit – so you can earn high profits for this one.

Almost all products on 99DIY are much cheaper than what you can find on other websites in this list. This is because products are printed and shipped directly from China. So while it may save you money, it may take some time for your customers to get their orders.

You can also sell your designs on pet chest straps which comes in small and large sizes. It’s only available on 99DIY!

15. Teelaunch

There’s quite a list of unique products you can find on Teelaunch compared to other POD sites. This includes some of these home decor and even printed basketball/football. Sadly, not all products can be shipped outside the USA!

For pet products, Teelaunch has its own pet crate mat made of waterproof fabric material, polyester insert and an anti-skid bottom (stays intact incase your pets run into it). To cater to different pet requirements, the crate mat comes in three sizes and can be placed inside a pet cage for extra comfort.

6 Things To Know Before Selling Pet Products

  1. There’s various sizes of dogs from small sized to larger breeds – choose a specific target market if you need to
  2. Pets need comfortable wear too! Cotton outfits is a good option during warmer seasons
  3. Dogs are color blind and can only discern blue and yellow – so while their owner may like the design, there’s a chance they won’t!
  4. For durability and lasting use, it’s practical to get a crate mat instead of a pillow
  5. It’s best to buy a size larger for dog clothing – you can find available sizes here
  6. Shallow pet bowls are better for reducing stress among pets – advisable as it maintains a more natural eating position

Bottom Line

Unsure which fulfillment is best to brand your own pet products? Narrow down your options based on type of pet, size of clothing and function of product.

If you plan on selling all kinds of custom pet products, consider narrowing based on ecommerce integrations available. Choose between selling on Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce or Wix.
