17 Print On Demand Journals & Notebooks Fulfillment
1. Printify
Here’s a sample of a Printify notebook I created using a design downloaded on Creative Fabrica. It’s a seamless floral pattern image so all I had to do was upload it and use Printify’s pattern tool to make it repeat all over the front page (seamlessly).
The back cover of the notebook is not printed with any design and is in a dark grey color by default.
2. Printful
Here’s a sample of a hardcover bound notebook I designed on Printful using their quick designs. Each of the element of the design can be customized e.g. fonts, colors and size. I chose one of the designs you can see on the left bar and added two more little planets.
There are the normal mock ups you can use automatically for when listing your notebooks in your store and there’s the custom mock ups you can create using their special mock up tool. These mock ups can be downloaded so you can easily upload them on the selling platform you use.
3. Prodigi
You can design these two products in both A4 and A5, to come with ruled lines or graph pages. Their journals can come in blank pages too. Both are made with approximately 120-128 pages which isn’t too bad – but I would love to have more!
4. Teelaunch
Not too interested in notebooks? Teelaunch only offers journals and they’re available for both hardcover and paperback. The paperback ones come with more pages (200 pages) compared to hardcover (150 pages) as it is easier for users to flip. Both comes in two sizes!
Most products on Teelaunch are printed and shipped from the USA – but not everything can be shipped outside of the country. They’re better known for their unique print on demand sports equipment, die-cut metal signs (rare!) and wall flags.
Check out my other article on 13 things to compare between Teelaunch and Printful.
5. Redbubble
Just like Prodigi, both journals and notebooks on Redbubble can be made with ruled line or graph pages. For journals, customers can choose a blank page one too. There isn’t any sizing options and both these products are made with approx. 120-128 pages (a typical size).
6. Zazzle
You can allow customers to personalize their purchase to include their names or initials, choose between hardcover or softcover and select colors of metal binders (there’s 7 colors to choose from!). Customers can also choose the inside paper design between ten types including checklist, recipe, wide ruled and practice.
I’ve included a cute personalized notebook sample down below for you to check out!

7. Gooten
There’s over 150 products you can sell with Gooten but unfortunately, they only have a single type of spiral notebook to offer. If you are flexible, consider selling their photo notepads too. The notepads are much smaller in size but it fulfills a different need for those who love tear-away pages.
The spiral notebook can be designed on the front side and only available in one size – slightly larger than an A5. It comes with 160 lined pages which is enough for most uses.
Gooten is an ideal fulfillment for small experienced businesses planning to sell POD journals or POD notebooks. You can even get tailored B2B solutions that’s suitable for your business needs. Check out my comparison of Gooten here against Printful.

8. Contrado
If you’re looking to source print on demand journals and notebooks from a UK-based company, Contrado is a site worth considering. Prices are slightly on the higher side but their journal printing is of great quality.
While their journals can only be made with blank pages, customers have a choice between lined or blank pages for notebooks. Journals come in a single A5 size with a satin covered hardback but there’s a choice of three sizes for notebooks and all come with a glossy laminated cover.
Contrado typically ships orders in 1-2 days of ordering and offers express shipping for US addresses as fast as 1-2 days (post manufacturing). You can explore their additional branding services which includes customized dispatch notes, business cards and stickers. These three items are great branding options when selling journals or notebooks!

9. Bags Of Love
Since Contrado is their parent company, journals and notebooks on Bags Of Love are similar to the ones you can find on Contrado. I recommend using BOL instead of Contrado if you’re primarily based in UK and looking to sell print on demand notebooks in the UK as prices are displayed in GBP (British Pounds).
Their products can be customized just the same but there’s an additional feature of creating photo collages on BOL. Almost all their products can be designed using collage template including journals and notebooks. BOL’s journals also come with smart metal corner caps on each edge for a chic look.
Aside from the fast fulfillment times (1-3 days!), BOL’s local shipping rates are reasonable from only £5.99 for both journals and notebooks. It’s above £15 for orders to North America, Europe and the rest of the world – so you’re better off using other fulfillments.

10. CafePress
If you’re interested in selling your designs on marketplaces, CafePress is another site to diversify with. You can upload the same designs used on Redbubble or Zazzle and get even more sales targeting different market audiences.
Journals and notebooks are quite the same product on CafePress. Customers can choose from four types of inside paper design including blank pages, ruled line, dot grid and task journals. They’re one of the few to offer journals with pages structured for tasks!
When browsing journal designs on CafePress, you may feel that it’s pretty outdated and though I’m not a fan, someone out there might be! Plus, there’s really no cost to selling on the site.
The only drawback is not everyone can be an artist on CafePress, they accept artists from only 26 countries and ship orders to the same ones – link down below.

11. Art Of Where
There are no journals you can design with Art Of Where, but they have an entire section for notebooks and offer them in various sizes. AOW has a unique take for some of their products which is unseen anywhere else, including for their tote bags (find out why!).
While their custom printed notebooks can be made with 48 sheets only, you can customize the first page of the notebook with your designs. It helps to add a nice quote for your customers to start their day with and link it back to the front cover.
AOW is one of my recommendations if you’re selling print on demand to a Canada-based audience. Products are made and shipped from their factory in Montreal, Canada.

12. Teespring (Spring)
Teespring or Spring is another popular POD marketplace, especially among online creators. I find their site to be less interactive for sales unlike Redbubble or Zazzle, but it’s the only one that connects with social media platforms like YouTube, Discord and Instagram.
There’s only a single type of notebook you can sell with Teespring which is a 100-page spiral notebook. Both front and back covers can be customized – just like the sample I’ve attached down below.
Online content creators can create their own branded merchandise, connect their Teespring account to social profiles and promote products for their fans to purchase directly. Notebooks are one of the best merchandise to sell aside from hats!
Here’s a sample of the dashboard when designing notebooks on Teespring. It’s super easy to use and straightforward even if you’re a beginner.

13. Society6
Society6 is probably the only marketplace that offers notebooks in just two types of inside paper design – ruled line or blank pages. Customers can choose to purchase a single unit or get three of the same products in one purchase.
It’s a practical move because everyone needs more than one notebook, am I right? Not only does that benefits your customers, you also get a higher commission in a single purchase!
If you’re a budding artist and love to make cheerful hippie designs, Society6 is a great platform to showcase your artwork and get them sold on functional everyday items. Although commission rates are typically fixed at 10% (except wall art and canvas), they have a great collection of items such as office furniture plus selling prices are reasonable to the average consumer.

14. HugePOD
If you’re looking for quality notebooks at a much cheaper price, look no further than HugePOD. By just purchasing 100 units of the same item, you can get 20% off the normal price – sample down below. If you have a physical store or would like to keep some stock for yourself, these bulk discounts come handy.
Most products on HugePOD are offered in multiple base colors including these spiral notebooks (in 20 colors!). It can be tedious to make multiple designs in multiple colors. By working with ready colored products like the ones on HugePOD (or Teespring up above), you only have to make the design in two or three colors then just upload the same ones throughout.
Though shipping isn’t included in prices, HugePOD’s stationeries are all well below the $8 mark!

15. Threadless
You can design both custom journals and notebooks on Threadless. While their spiral notebooks only comes lined, journals can be made with lined pages or blank ones. Size is 6″ x 8″ and 5″ x 7″ respectively, just a small variation from an A5 (5.82″ x 8.26″).
Threadless is a POD marketplace that works just like Redbubble, Zazzle, CafePress and Society6. Their notebooks are priced reasonably against other marketplaces in this list, plus cheaper than both Society6 and Redbubble!

16. Helloprint
If you’re really looking for a print on demand notebooks UK-based company, Helloprint is the one you need to check out. Although they’re not a UK company, they have a specific website catered to those living in the UK.
Helloprint has a long list of custom journals and notebooks you can design, including eco-friendly POD options. Some notebooks are made out of materials such as recycled milk cartons, bamboo, recycled felt and cork.
Prices are definitely on the affordable and reasonable size, however you’ll need to purchase a minimum of 10 units per order. There are bulk discounts to be enjoyed and ordering quantities are fixed in multiples of 10.
You can also visit their six other websites that are focused for the European market – built in different languages.

17. VistaPrint
Similar to Helloprint, VistaPrint has a minimum ordering quantity (MOQ) for each of their custom printed journal and notebook. The MOQ differs for each product but you’re not fixed to ordering in multiples – you can order any amount as long as it’s more than the MOQ.
There are more color options for notebooks and journals on VistaPrint compared to Helloprint. Both sites only offer one sided printing – usually an area of the front cover (not all over).
It’s also important to note that there’s no maximum number of colors you can print on journals/notebooks via VistaPrint. Helloprint limits the number of colors to 1/2/3/4 per item order and charges differently for each option.
The lesser MOQ of about four instead of 10 would make it a better choice if you’re planning to design and print your own journal for own use or to gift your loved ones.
