14 Websites Like Teespring

1. Redbubble

The only thing that sets Redbubble apart from Teespring is the option to integrate stores with social platforms. Selling on Redbubble is possible on the website itself – there’s a different way to sign up for artist and customers. They don’t offer any integrations beyond the site but they’re still one of the most popular print on demand marketplaces!

My first sale with print on demand was with Redbubble – made an amazing $13 in my first month.

2. Zazzle

On Zazzle, you can create customized products for yourself or become a creator to sell designs on their wide range of products. There are a lot of ways you can earn more with promoting Zazzle and your own store. Range of products are pretty dynamic so you’ll never grow bored with different seasons throughout the year!

I personally find the platform to be quite confusing in the beginning but it should get better with time. What do you think?

  • Advantages
    • Has a featured creator section to promote rising artists/designers
    • Sells officially licensed merchandise by movies and brands which attracts a different audience to the site
    • A lot of new products are introduced regularly including Hershey chocolate bars (wrapped with your design!)
    • Complete print on demand blog section with Zazzle Ideas on topics of wedding, gifting and lifestyle

3. Society6

Apart from Redbubble, Society6 is one marketplace every creative should try. The only major drawback is the relatively low profit margins of 10% on each sale (except art prints). Sellers can’t make changes to these but there’s a way to earn more by promoting their own affiliate links and referring sales.

If you can’t already tell, I love interactive easy to navigate websites – and Society6 is one of them. I’m sure any customer will appreciate a good buying experience!

  • Advantages
    • Wide range of products including furniture, compared to others
    • Has a growing artist community to support each other with feedback and knowledge
    • Easy to navigate platform for new sellers
    • Sellers able to earn 10% more with affiliate programs and referring sales
    • Creative, inspiring and cool blog section to learn from
    • Can explore products based on artists and collections
    • Offers 25% student discounts for verified students
    • Has a wholesale brand for made-to-order products with wholesale pricing and payment terms – perfect for businesses with volume

4. Teemill

Teemill doesn’t have its own marketplace for ready customers to browse and purchase unlike others in this list, but I’m making an exception to include it. Sellers can create their own Teemill Store with a customizable subdomain URL and it works pretty much like a Teespring Store as customers can visit directly. Teemill allows sellers to link their stores to Facebook shop and Instagram shop for their brand’s social media presence.

I like how they make it easy for social sharing and attracting purchases. This is definitely the move forward! Let’s not forget, Teemill is a sustainable print on demand supplier based in UK advocating a circular economy.

  • Advantages
    • Regular offers such as Free Shipping weekends at no cost to seller
    • Bulk discounts for ordering samples from 40% for 50 units ordered
    • Teemill Pro subscription is available for sellers at £10/month to be more efficient with built-in email marketing, stock photos, professional mockups and a custom domain
    • Unlock premium products with Teemill Pro including sustainable Remill shirts
    • Sale profits are transferred to seller exactly 30 days after purchase is made
    • Able to customize pricing and earn more – only with Teemill Pro account
    • High profit margin on each sale – able to earn £5.50 on sale of basic shirt at £20 (27.5%)
    • SEO-optimized stores and product pages to get organic traffic from Google
    • Teemail and push notifications lets you send product emails and notifications directly to fans for immediate sales
    • Able to integrate with Facebook shop and Instagram shop for selling off platforms
  • Disadvantages
    • Main currency is GBP (British Pound) – some hassle if it’s not your main currency
    • Can only create 30 products with the free account
    • Only able to order product samples when your store is launched
    • Sellers not able to create voucher codes for own Teemill stores
    • Limited product options compared to most in this list

5. Fine Art America

There’s mixed reviews about Fine Art America but it’s still worth looking into. There’s a list of benefits you can enjoy with FAA that you can’t find on other sites here. This includes the freedom to set prices (earn 100% margin on some!) and expand your small merchandise business to reach physical stores.

The brand has long been in the industry and has multiple presence using different brand names. Both Pixels and Pixels On Demand are essentially Fine Art America but rebranded to serve a different market audience. Similarity of their websites tells it all!

  • Advantages
    • Targets a larger audience with Pixels – a site with different name but essentially the same as Fine Art America
    • Able to keep 100% profits for digital downloads
    • Allows sellers to freely price products
    • Has 14 fulfillment centers in 5 countries
    • Provides full refund for returns within 30 days of order

    • Has bulk discounts and trade discounts
  • Disadvantages
    • FAQ section does not answer many questions newbies would have
    • High shipping costs
    • Customer service is lacking
    • Great quality overall but some colors don’t turn out like the graphic
    • Cannot include a gift message with purchases

6. CafePress

One of the oldest print on demand marketplace is CafePress. Just like Society6, profit margins aren’t hgih and you can make about 5%-10% commission per sale depending on product sold.

A major setback about CafePress is it hasn’t shifted to providing international shipping and only accepts sellers from a limited list of 26 countries – check link below. Don’t feel bad if you’re not eligible for it – there’s ton others in this list to give a try.

  • Advantages
    • Only pay the base price for each item when buying from your own shop
    • Provides product design templates to ensure images are in the right size, resolution and format
    • You can create your own products for own use without selling

7. Spreadshirt

One of the biggest print on demand marketplace which also offers white label with its other brand, SPOD, is Spreadshirt. Spreadshirt also has an alternate website created in German language (suitable for sales in EUR)!

When signing up on Spreadshirt, you’ll see two options to choose – between selling on Spreadshirt’s marketplace or creating your own Spreadshop store with a customizable URL. If you like Redbubble’s business model and want things to be easier, choose Spreadshirt’s marketplace. Your products are sold alongside others’ in one easy to explore page.

Spreadshop is recommended for content creators and influencers with significant follower count or those looking to bring in traffic using paid ads from Facebook.

8. Bonfire

If you’re looking to raise funds for charitable causes, Bonfire has the right system for you to do it effortlessly. Aside from YouTube merch, it also connects with Classy Peer-To-Peer Fundraising platform to sell merchandise as a means to fundraise.

9. Design By Humans

Just like Teespring, DBH aims to provide tailored merchandise to gamers, YouTubers and even musicians looking to build another source of income. There’s also contests for artists to join and get their designs featured.

Unlike others in this list, DBH has t-shirt sizes up to 5-XL! So you’re definitely targeting a bigger audience with larger sizes. Not everyone knows this, but shirt sizing varies between each supplier. A medium-sized shirt is never standardized though technically everyone should be sourcing their blank shirts from someone similar.

  • Advantages
    • Sells officially licensed products from brands, colleges, movies, comics, military and toys
    • Option to shop by artists and collections
    • Orders are printed in California HQ
    • Sellers can create a custom storefront

10. Merch By Amazon

To be honest, Amazon’s commissions for merchandise sales isn’t too bad at all. The shirts are fairly priced and you’re expected to make sales from a huge ecommerce platform where everyone sells everything. Customers will love it since they can enjoy the same Prime benefits and get free one-day delivery!

It shouldn’t be too hard! But there are some requirements you’ll need to meet to join Merch By Amazon and not everyone gets accepted (especially newbies to POD). Generally, I recommend the platform for those who have had success selling designs on other POD sites.

  • Advantages
    • Delivers to all locations where Amazon delivers
    • Offers fast shipping with Prime
    • Sells to huge database of hundreds of millions of customers
    • Free shipping if a customer spends more than $25
    • Sellers able to use Amazon Advertising to bump up products in search
    • Provides downloadable product templates
    • Complete individual FAQ pages for each product
  • Disadvantages
    • Limited product choices compared to others
    • Only offers email support at the moment
    • Opening an account will require an approval – best to prove your POD experience
    • Unable to run a seller store sale or directly change the purchase price
    • Does not allow bulk upload of designs (unlike Redbubble)
    • Number of designs a content creator can make is limited based on tiers

11. Threadless

If you’re thinking of creating designs meant for gifting, Threadless can work for you. Gift cards expire in 5 years so it’s a good gift to give your loved ones – in case they forget to use it in the first year, you have a gift sorted for the next year!

They also don’t accept traditional returns where customers have to ship back their purchases. Honestly, one less headache for you as a seller. However, the huge drawback about Threadless is the long shipping time for international orders – watch the video above to know.

  • Advantages
    • Great choices of products and easy to navigate website for new customers
    • Selling price of t-shirts starts at $16.95 – cheap!
    • Gift certificates are available for purchase with 5 year expiry
    • Coupons can be used at checkout for extra savings
    • Sale items may be eligible for a price adjustment after the sale period
    • Sellers can submit designs to the Threadless Design Challenge where the community will vote – designs are printed based off the overall score (up to a score of 5)
    • Designs submitted for challenges can be sold at your store instantly
    • Has a creative resource page for sellers to learn how to improve with tutorials including topics on SEO, email marketing and Facebook marketing
    • No traditional returns, only a free replacement or reimbursement with proof

    • Customer service usually responds in few hours after submitting ticket
    • Email newsletter sign-up forms are integrated to each shop using Mailchimp
    • Offers 25% discounts for students verified with Student Beans
  • Disadvantages
    • Product cost payable by sellers for each order includes a 5% processing fee charged based on the seller’s retail price for the product (if you charge $25 for a t-shirt, a $0.50 processing fee applies on top of product base cost)
    • Shirt prints tend to defect after the second wash

12. Displate

Talk about not offering a wide range of products, Displate only has one item to offer – metal prints (a.k.a. metal posters). This is the only company that’s based in Europe in this list but they’re looking to have an office in the USA soon.

The profit margins are pretty low at 9% for each item sold but you’re able to earn more by referring sales via your artist link. Prices are also on the high side but considering that the metal prints can be used forever, it is a good purchase!

  • Advantages
    • Artists will earn 41% commission of net sale value for purchases made within 30 days via their own link
    • Sellers can purchase their own Displates for 50% discount
    • Influencers can earn 25% commission for promoting Displate’s artwork

    • Displate Club membership allows users to enjoy free shipping, special discounts, get new Displates every 12 months, access to custom made Displates and a storage sleeve
    • Your designs may be chosen for Limited Edition sale
  • Disadvantages
    • When signing up, artist will need to include a link to an online portfolio and sign up requires approval
    • Designs submitted must be approved for sale
    • Selling prices are fixed so artists have no control over price
    • Commissions are about 9% for each displate sized M, L and XL
    • Minimum payout threshold of $50
    • Limited countries shipped to
    • XL Displate cannot be printed in one-piece and not all can be printed in XL size
    • Gift Card only redeemable for M sized Displate printed in matt finish without frames

13. Inprnt

Inprnt has progressed from just selling art prints, they have phone cases too. Considering their expensive print prices, artists are well compensated with up 50% share of earnings. If you’re someone with great graphic designing skills and love to create original artwork, this is the platform you should go into.

There’s a huge trust factor that Inprnt will not mess up with your orders and have things damaged in transit because they’re a pro for handling prints!

    • Limited product choices
    • Product page lacks information to convince customers
    • Prices are quite expensive – adding frames to a print can cost additional $200

14. Teepublic

If you hadn’t known already, Teepublic was acquired by Redbubble but still runs a separate website. I’m not sure why but well it makes Teepublic sound credible! Commissions aren’t too bad and comparable to Redbubble – starts from $0.25 for magnets and up to $21 for various prints.

Just like Redbubble, users on Teepublic are not able to create multiple storefronts in a single account. You’ll need few accounts to create few shops in varying niches – they don’t restrict you but recommends that you sell everything in one shop instead for higher traffic. This is a question almost everyone asks, including myself!

  • Advantages
    • Affiliate program for artists to earn while promoting their artwork – request for a special coupon code for your audience
    • Sellers are able to customize URL slug of their store once only
    • Able to print on the back (and front & back) of the shirt for Classic T-shirt

Abby B.

Hey there! Abby here - the founder of Passive Marketeer and also the main writer on the site. My love for ecommerce and online marketing was something I found through my 9-5 sales job. It was mind boggling at first that we're able to make an income online passively in today's world! If you're still feeling that way, know that you're not alone.

That's why, I decided to help others by sharing findings through my own research on today's ecommerce world. When I'm not writing, I'm either running my online biz, traveling, cooking or gardening.
