Although doormat printing is usually one sided and much easier compared to other products, there are still important things to know on making a good doormat.
In this post, I’ll be sharing the 13 best suppliers for custom printed door mats and list other types of mats they offer. To make things easier for you, I’ll be listing some pros and cons of each! So you can make your decision easier.

1. Printify
Printify’s is always on the top of my list because they just have almost everything. Although they do not have a basic doormat to offer for indoor use, I still love how easy it is to design their coir doormats (sample below).
They also have other kinds of mats you can sell in the same store, as it would be a little too niched for you to only sell a type of doormat. Selling different types of mats is a good way to diversify your store’s revenue without incurring additional costs.
Why? Because you can reuse some of your floor mat designs on these other products! No extra work needed.
Here’s a sample of a Printify doormat I created using a combination of two designs downloaded from Creative Fabrica. I used a background image as well as a short caption image and scaled them both to a size that is high resolution.
As the final doormat printed will be slightly faded (see image below), it’s best to use colors or designs that are more vibrant to complement.

2. Teelaunch
This platform isn’t exactly a preferred one for me as the site isn’t very friendly for beginners. However, they’re popular among people long in the POD industry for their special products – including special sports equipment like print on demand basketball.
Unlike Printify, Teelaunch offers print on demand coir doormats for outdoor use as well as indoor doormats. Coir is used for outdoors as it easily collects dirt from shoes and is much more durable for long term use (water and weather resistant).
The indoor ones are made of polyester so they’re more absorbent and soft.

Just like Teelaunch, Merchize offers indoor doormats but in two different materials. While polyester mats are much more suitable for areas with higher traffic (needing durability), velvet ones are great for your favorite lounge areas within your home.
They don’t offer any doormat suitable for outdoor use and the polyester doormat only ships to the USA. So read the description carefully before selling them in your store.
It’s also cool that they make custom shaped mats! You’re able to design your own mat shape with a custom image printed on it.

Aside from Printify, Contrado has a lot of products to offer – most at slightly premium prices and for premium quality! You can become an artist to sell your designs on their marketplace directly or integrate your shop with ecommerce platforms like Shopify.
Compared to others, Contrado offers doormats as thin as 0.08 inches – suitable for areas with limited space and to not block doors from closing. They also have a 2-year guarantee for the printing quality to give you a peace of mind when selling.

Another great thing about Yoycol is you can get extra discounts with additional units ordered. Buying 10-49 units will get you a 5% discount whereas buying 50 units will give you a considerable 10%!
Bulk discounts is handy if you’re looking to buy your own samples or keep inventory for physical sales. Orders may take a longer time to arrive too – that’s one thing to consider if your main audience is in the USA.

Aside from China, you can also find companies based in Hong Kong to supply print on demand doormats.
Although InkPOD is slightly more expensive than Yoycol, I still find the prices to be reasonably cheap compared to others in this list. They have fewer choices though, and shipping charges can vary greatly than when sourced from China – unless you choose a shipping provider with a longer estimated delivery time.
It is still a great site to consider as their doormats are made of nylon material and they offer great All-Over-Print products including quality sneakers!

I’m not a fan of getting orders delivered from other parts of the world. But if it meant better quality and cheaper prices, there are some trade-offs that you can benefit from!
Products from China or Asia will take longer time to arrive but it can work out if customers’ expectations are managed from the beginning. Put a disclaimer on shipping times or include a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section in your product description.

At a glance, you wouldn’t notice that Bags of Love is actually a brand under Contrado. When you look into it, they’re both based in the UK and their sites actually look pretty similar. Their choices of products are the same too!
The only thing that’s different is Bags Of Love sells prayer mats which I did not notice for Contrado. Their doormats are basically the same – but I’ve still included them in this list to ensure that I’ve properly covered the topic for you!

- Choose a niche for your designs
- Niching down is great to attract the right audience with your POD doormat designs
- Some examples would be doormats for welcome entrance, doormats for bedrooms or doormats for festivities
- Focus on your chosen niche for the next 100 designs!
- Do research on best selling and trendy designs
- Before making any designs, find out what’s working in the market
- A quick trick is to Google or search for them on Etsy
- Or use keyword research tools like Sale Samurai or Marmalead
- Make your own designs or outsource
- You can make your own designs using Kittl or Canva
- If you want to buy designs, get them on Creative Fabrica or Envato Elements
- Some important things to know are design file sizes and printing layout (if any)
- Sign up for an account with any of the door mat manufacturers I’ve listed above
- You’ll have to create an account with one of the sites I’ve mentioned above to start selling
- Choose one supplier that resonates to you the most with the right products you’ve envisioned for your doormat business
- Upload designs to products
- Uploading designs to supplier’s products is super easy and you should be able to do this once an account is created
- Position the design correctly when uploading as the actual product will look the same as what you see online
- Set a suitable profit margin for each product
- On most sites, you should be able to set a selling price once you’ve done uploading the design
- A suitable margin should be 40%-50% depending on the platform you’re selling on and any fees you’ll incur on each sale
- This excludes shipping charges to customers!
- Sync them to your ecommerce store
- You would need to integrate your ecommerce store e.g. Etsy or Shopify before you’re able to sell so do that first
- Sync the ready product to your store to start selling them publicly
