Some of the best options for custom designed blankets is on Printify. There are all sorts of blankets you can sell with Printify, including baby blankets, hooded blankets and even thick comforters.
Aside from their hooded blankets, comforters and print on demand duvet covers, everything is priced reasonably under $40 (cost price). You can save further on product costs up to 23% by subscribing to Printify Premium on a monthly basis.
Printify sources products from multiple printing partners hence they’re able to offer a wider range of products compared to others. This way, you also get to diversify your sales instead of relying on a single printing partner. There’s always some risk in this business!
Here’s a sample of a Printify blanket I created using a design downloaded from Creative Fabrica. The design is a seamless floral pattern so I just scaled it to a nice size and resolution, then used Printify’s tool for creating repeating patterns from one design.

2. Printful
Printify and Printful are some of the popular POD companies in the industry but sometimes there is a stark difference in their offering. While Printify can offer over 20 types of blankets, Printful only has a single type of throw blanket.
Regardless, there are two available sizes for the blanket and awesome ratings for the product. The throw blanket is slightly cheaper than Printify’s throw blanket by about $1.80. Aside from product prices, you should also consider these four elements when comparing prices between Printify and Printful.
I love that Printful provides a mark for the blanket’s fabric thickness and softness scale. It really helps to know what you’re selling even if you don’t plan to buy them yourself.

Looking for something more classic that could complete any room? Prodigi’s 100% cotton jacquard woven blanket is an amazing home décor you should sell. Your designs are brought alive by solid colored yarns weaved into the blanket, where the same colors will be used for the fringe.
As it does not use DTG printing or sublimation, you can’t expect complete accuracy of colors so it’s always best to order samples of your own product. Prodigi is the only POD fulfillment that sends free mini samples of their printed paper products, worldwide and free of charge!
Even if you’re not interested in the nitty gritty of making woven blankets, you can sell their premium print on demand fleece blankets instead. They’re made of 100% polyester with hemmed edges to improve durability and colors are more accurate.

Some of the blankets sold on Printify are sourced from Printed Mint. You can see this easily on Printify’s product page, they will always include the name of the supplier for each product.
It’s great to know that you can source these products directly and often at a cheaper price. The only downside is, Printed Mint has limited integration options (only two) compared to Printify’s long list. But it shouldn’t be a problem if you’re a newbie starting out with Etsy.

Since print on demand blankets are usually printed on one side, you may be selective of the color on the other side. Most will come with a white base but Gooten’s pixel blanket comes in a darker grey hue and black hemmed edges. This is great for kids and gives a longer lifespan to the blanket.
As a customer myself, I can be quite picky with my purchases to ensure it doesn’t get damaged easily and can be used for a long time. So some may prefer the white base but people like me will love a grey one!

Aside from Printed Mint, MWW On Demand is also one of the popular suppliers on Printify. They have their own website for you to source directly and although the website isn’t as friendly as Printed Mint’s, they do offer store integrations with Shopify.
If you’re sold on the idea of selling woven blankets but unsure of losing color accuracies due to weaving, MWW On Demand has printed woven blankets as an alternative!
It only comes in a single size but you get the same luxurious feel and image crispness of dye sublimation printing. There’s still the same colorful fringed edges on two sides of the blanket.

Not interested in setting up your own ecommerce store and going through the hassle of marketing your site? You can sell blankets online with print on demand marketplaces like Zazzle. It’s faster and less complicated for beginners to get their designs up for sale, especially if you just want to make it a side hustle.
Zazzle has pretty interesting features compared to the popular Redbubble. This includes letting sellers create variations of colors for the same design within one listing and allowing customers to personalize products.

Aside from Printify and MWW On Demand, you’re able to get hooded blankets from Merchize. Unlike the former two, Merchize’s hooded blankets are all-over-print and are considerably cheaper at only $29.25 (includes worldwide standard shipping).
They also have machine washable quilt blankets and sand-proof beach blankets that comes with sand anchor pockets and a drawstring pouch.
The only downside is not all products on Merchize are shipped from the USA. Most orders will come from Vietnam and some are shipped directly from China. Read descriptions before proceeding!

There’s only a single type of blanket on Print Clever which is a fleece blanket. It only comes in one size and like most, the blankets are made with white hemmed edges for durability and a soft faux wool backing for comfort.
You can download their design print templates to make designing easier. If you’re hiring a designer, it’s best to provide these templates to them beforehand and avoid making amendments.

If you’re like me and love fulfillments that offers a variety of products, you’ll love Contrado. They have some unique items for home décor such as rugs and even candles. Their blankets selection are pretty amazing too!
You can find interesting blanket items including baby sleeping bags and blanket scarf. These two products are excellent choices for colder seasons. The blanket scarf is best for outdoor use as it is water-proof and comes in two sizes for a snug fitting.
Although Contrado is based in the UK, products on the website are priced in USD for everyone’s ease of use. Prices are on the higher side as it is slightly high-end and some products come with two years printing guarantee.

The premium mink sherpa blankets on CustomCat is available in two sizes and in 21 base colors. Almost no other fulfillment in this list supplies colored blankets! They’re eco-friendly with the front side made of premium mink material and the back made of premium sherpa.
Although it’s considered heavy-weight, economy shipping charges to the USA are reasonable at only $7.99 for the first blanket. CustomCat also offers overnight shipping for blankets with price of $35.00.

There’s three types of blankets on Teelaunch and all of them are shipped from Utah, USA. Although I love that their all-over-print hooded blankets come with sewn on mittens and wrist straps, the 9-12 days production time is a little too long.
Shipping charges are also on the high side for about $10.75 (first item) to the USA. But if you’re looking to design custom blankets in Utah, they’re the closest fulfillment to work with (literally!).
Other options like their print on demand baby blankets have a faster turnaround time and cheaper shipping fees as they’re lighter in weight. Teelaunch provides design print templates for each product so that will definitely help!

If you’re looking for a print on demand company based in Europe, Shirtee is the one for you. Prices are quite reasonable and displayed in Euros to make things easier.
They offer two types of blankets, premium blanket and fleece blanket. Both comes in one size only and available in white. The sizes are a little too small in my opinion so it’s recommended to be a throw or used for kids.
Unlike others, Shirtee’s blankets are made of polypropylene instead of polyester. Polypropylene is more durable, water resistant and dries faster compared to the latter. You can read the differences here.

Other than Zazzle, Society6 is a worthwhile POD marketplace to check out. They have a wide range of print on demand home decor products including furniture bar stools, coffee tables and blackout curtains. However, some of these products cannot be shipped outside the USA – read before proceeding.
Most designs on Society6 are chic, feminine and minimalistic – making it one of the best sites to purchase blankets for modern customers (like myself). They also have great product mockups to impress! The throw blankets come in three sizes with white on the reverse side.
Society6 also offers picnic blankets – a little more expensive as both sides are water resistant with UV coating so it doesn’t fade in the sun. Includes a carrying harness!

Although Subliminator’s orders are shipped directly from China, they’re known for amazing product printing quality and all-over-printing.
You can choose between an ultra soft microfiber fleece lining or a premium plush 100% polyester sherpa lining for their hooded blankets. At $36 including standard shipping to the USA, UK, Germany, Europe, Australia and Canada – it’s cheaper than Printify!
For other parts of the world, you’ll have to add an extra $2. Express shipping is only available for USA orders.

On CafePress, you can choose between two types of material for fleece blankets – arctic with a crispier print or plush with a cozier feel. The plush is an extra $10! Their throw blankets comes in one general size with a solid white back.

Another website with cool designs like Redbubble is Threadless. You should be able to notice that the designs are a lot different compared to Society6, which is more minimalistic. Most POD marketplaces actually approve their artist’s designs before publishing them for sales!
Threadless has a range of blankets including fleece blankets and sherpa blankets. Sherpa blankets only comes in two sizes (medium & large) while fleece ones has an extra smaller size. If you’re making designs meant for kids, fleece blankets will sell better.

Production turnaround time for blankets is only 1-2 days for Fine Art America which is fast! They have fleece blankets in two sizes (medium & large) and the price difference is only $9.

There’s only one option of all-over-print blanket on Art Of Where and it comes in three sizes (S, M, L). If you’re planning to sell blankets designed for kids, small and medium size is more than enough.
Although it’s called all-over-print, the blanket can only be printed on one side with the other side being a solid plain grey. Just like some of the sites I’ve listed above, you can improve branding of your products with Art OF Where by adding custom labels, artist cards or stickers to your packages for a fee.
Art Of Where should be your choice of print on demand company if you’re based in Canada or planning to sell to a Canada-based audience. Choosing the right fulfillment ensures fast delivery of orders and happy returning customers!

Production time for most products on 99DIY is quite fast, from 2 to 2.5 days! They’re a big fulfillment company based in China but some items are printed and shipped from the USA – for example, their blankets.
All blankets on 99DIY are made of ultra-soft micro fleece material. There’s no other options but you can choose between the four different sizes they have. Aside from catering to kids, smaller blankets are great for travels and gifting others!

Looking for a print on demand blanket UK company to get your order shipped from the UK? Almost all products on AOP+ are made in the United Kingdom – including their blankets!

Compared to most in this list, the blankets on InterestPrint is pretty wide ranging (list down below). You can even personalize baby blankets to include details like the baby’s name or birth date, and have it shipped with a gift box.
They offer similar ultra-soft micro fleece blankets to the ones on 99DIY but prices are on the higher side. You’ll also need to pay extra for shipping as the prices on InterestPrint only include partial shipping charges.
For a 50×60 fleece blanket, you’ll need to add about $16 for express shipping using DHL to the USA or $8 for standard shipping. So it isn’t too cheap to begin with but may still be cheaper than most!
