Are you thinking of starting a print on demand leggings business but unsure where to begin? Well, you’re not the only one feeling this way. Here are 15 sites you can use!
Artists and marketers make a good living with print on demand. How much a person makes with print on demand depends on the types of product sold, the demand of designs, chosen target market and effort put into marketing the products. Some make as little as $5/day while others can make over $100/day.
If you’re new to print on demand, leggings might be a little advanced for you – it was tricky for me. You can consider making simpler products like tote bags, posters and phone cases – I made similar guides for them! I don’t want you to feel overwhelmed early on but hey who can say no to extra knowledge.
In this article, I’ll be sharing 15 best print on demand leggings fulfillments you can use for your biz. To make things easier for you, I’ve included list of leggings they make and steps you can take to start.

15 Best Print On Demand Leggings Fulfillment
1. Printify
If you’re looking to design an assortment of leggings, Printify has the best catalog for you (against others in this list). There’s at least 15 types of leggings you can design for yourself or to sell online. Depending on the legging you’ve decided on, sizes range from XXS to 2XL.
There’s 6 different suppliers you can work with and decide which is best for your biz since not all are based in the USA.
I usually suggest complete beginners to start with Printify as their catalog is the most wide ranging and prices are competitive (especially if you get Printify Premium) – I’ve done an analysis on Printify’s pricing against Printful here. Subscribing to Printify Premium allows you to save about 23% in product cost and price your products competitively against others.

- All-over-print leggings
- Stretchy leggings
- Youth leggings
- Capri leggings

2. Printful
Surprisingly, there’s also 15 types of leggings you can design on Printful. It’s usually not the case as I find Printful to have less products compared to Printify (in some categories). All leggings on Printful are all-over-print, meaning you can place designs on every inch of the outer layer and leave no white spaces.
It’s best to use repetitive designs when designing an all-over-print so the print looks seamless when stitched together. Patterns work best!
If you’re looking to design print on demand leggings with pockets, Printful has them! They also have more tight shorts to offer and sells men’s leggings. If your niche is primarily fitness, their legging products are enough to build a cohesive ecommerce store. Sizes up to 6XL!
Types of leggings you can design:
- All-over-print leggings
- Sports leggings
- Kids leggings
- Youth leggings
- Capri leggings
- Yoga leggings
- Men’s leggings

3. Subliminator
If you have experience sourcing products printed in China, Subliminator is a great option to consider. Almost all their products are all-over-print and prices are cheaper than Printful’s. The prices you see includes standard shipping to the USA, UK, Germany, Europe, Australia and Canada. It’s just an additional $2 for the rest of the world.
Subliminator is known for their premium printing including for hoodies and dog clothing. They offer unique wear compared to others and customers just love their quality. Order one for yourself just to have a look and feel!

4. Gooten
Gooten is a great company to work with if you’re an experienced print on demand seller with an existing ecommerce store. They’ll ask you these details at the sign up page to determine if you can join them. It’s free like others but there’s a clause to it!
Although there are a lot of products you can design with Gooten including home decor and pet products, they only have two options for custom printed leggings. You can design a glossy legging or a brushed one – both are made of the same material but the difference is in the texture & look.
Leggings are not the easiest product to design especially for beginners so I appreciate that Gooten provides design templates in JPG and PSD for sellers/artists to refer to. This ensures your final designs fit perfectly within the designated print areas (and does not look awkward when worn in real life).

5. AOP+
If you’re selling primarily in the Europe and want to operate your biz using the Euro currency, AOP+ is a great alternative. Although prices can be displayed in USD/Euros/GBP, their products are made and shipped from the UK.
However, the only downside is AOP+ has a single type of legging to offer. If you decide to sell these, you can pair them with other athletic wear or gym wear in the same ecommerce store. Selling complementary products is a way to increase your average basket size!
Types of leggings you can design:
- Stretch leggings

6. Apliiq
Interested in designing apparel products only? Apliiq has a nice range to work with including eco-friendly clothing. They have two types of women leggings you can sell including a sustainably-made one – see below.
Apliiq offers some cool services for making your own branded labels for clothing. This includes neck labels, woven labels and even having your own embroidered patches. Branding is one of the benefits of using white label companies!
I wrote a separate article to compare the features of Apliiq vs Printful here. The only thing I had a hard understanding were Apliiq’s expensive prices for ordering samples (against selling to others).

7. Redbubble
If you don’t want to face the hassle of building your own ecommerce store, signing up to POD marketplaces like Redbubble is the best option you have. Redbubble was the first site I used to start my print on demand journey with. It is super easy to use and takes less than 5 minutes to upload designs to multiple products.
Compared to other products, Redbubble only offers a single type of legging for you to sell your designs on. There’s only 6 sizes (up to XL or size 12) and judging from the reviews online on how small their leggings are, it’s not an ideal site for plus sizes.
Commissions on Redbubble is standardized at 20% but you can increase or decrease it to your liking. If your designs stand out against others and you believe it’s a good one, I would suggest fixing a 30% commission rate instead. Don’t go too high!

8. Merchize
Looking for another Asian-based print on demand company? Merchize is one I recommend in most of my product guides as it integrates with rare sites like eBay and Google Shopping. They also have a unique range of products you can depend on, including candles, doormats and clocks.
However, there are only two kinds of leggings you can design with Merchize. Both are pretty much similar to each other and can be printed all over. The only difference is one is printed in Vietnam while the other is printed in China (cheaper).
For an AOP product, I believe Merchize’s leggings are reasonably priced as it includes a standard shipping charge to the USA. Sizes range from XS and up to 5XL so you can cater to the plus size market.
Types of leggings you can design:
- All-over-print leggings

9. HugePOD
You might be bored by the amount of leggings I’ve written about above that is only available in white. If you’re looking for something different, HugePOD offers leggings in 19 base colors! Prices are also competitive as a pair of AOP leggings are under the $12 mark (cheaper than Merchize).
If you have a physical store to sell the leggings and need inventory, you can enjoy bulk discounts with HugePOD when purchasing more than 5 units. The maximum discount applicable is a huge 20% off when you purchase 100 pieces or more.
Unless you’re ordering one for yourself, the Special Line shipping to the USA is your best bet for better than average shipping time and to keep costs low.

10. Zazzle
I personally love high waisted leggings with bands around my tummy. For some reason, they make me feel secured and slim! It’s even more fun if I can personalize my leggings to include my initials or my favorite workout slogan.
With Zazzle, you can allow customers to personalize their purchase e.g. adding their name, photo or details they simply want to show off. I’ve included a sample down below! It’s also super easy for customers to browse the marketplace when they can see the color options available for a certain product.
Unlike other marketplaces, Zazzle only offers two types of leggings and though their prices are a bit more expensive than Redbubble, there’s great reviews about their size!

- Capri leggings

11. Bags Of Love
If you’re looking for a fulfillment company that uses GBP (British Pounds) as their main currency, then Bags Of Love is for you. It’s one of the best options if you’re selling primarily to an audience based in the UK.
There are a few types of leggings you can design with BOL – list down below. For the basic legging, you can choose the fabric used (either soft sheen or matte lycra) and make them in full-length, capri or 3/4 leg.
Prices are quite expensive but it comes with great quality printing and fast local shipping (only £5.99). BOL’s leggings come with a two-year guarantee on print and finish! Shipping fees for international deliveries is pretty expensive (£16.50 for North America) hence I don’t recommend using the site if you’re selling outside the UK.
Types of leggings you can design:
- Cindy leggings
- Kid leggings
- Athletic leggings
- Full-length leggings
- Capri leggings
- 3/4 leggings

12. Contrado
If you’re into Bags Of Love but want to operate in USD instead, check out their parent company’s site, Contrado. Products are identical but you can’t design using photo collage templates like BOL. The only downside is Contrado only offers integration with Shopify so you can only use a Shopify store with it.
Prices are still on the higher side even in USD, but there are ways to get discounts. Contrado gives a 25% academic discount for students in the USA and Canada to design custom products. If you are a student interested in shopping for yourself (not designing), there’s also a 20% discount for you to enjoy.
Types of leggings you can design:
- Full-length leggings
- Kids leggings
- Workout leggings
- High-waisted leggings

13. Society6
Much like Redbubble, Society6 only has one type of leggings to offer and it comes in five sizes. They’re versatile and can be used for yoga sessions or just a casual day out. Usually, these kinds of leggings do not give the best experience for sweaty intense workouts at the gym.
Society6 is the platform for you if your designs are more cheerful and cute. Most designs there are made for the theme so something is surely working! However, commissions are much lower compared to Redbubble at only 10% (excluding art prints).
Regardless, it still helps to diversify your revenue by just uploading same designs on multiple platforms!

14. Art Of Where
If you’re looking for a Canadian-based print on demand company, Art Of Where has a good selection of leggings. You can design either capris or full-length leggings, and choose to make comfortable ones for casual wear or breathable stretchy ones for yoga.
Depending on the order, products are printed in Montreal or New York. Artists can choose to pick up orders instead – super handy if you need them quick and if you’re designing for yourself. Aside from leggings, I like Art Of Where’s collection of print on demand bags as they’re unique, quirky and fun.
Types of leggings you can design:
- Capris
- Yoga capris
- Full-length leggings

15. InkPOD
Other than HugePOD, InkPOD’s leggings are some of the cheapest, just under $11! It is one of the sites I’ve recommended to design shoes as they have a lot of interesting shoe products to offer.
There’s full-length yoga leggings and capri yoga leggings on InkPOD, where both are all-over-print. They’re also suitable for dance class, working out or going for a jog. If you ever decide to sell these leggings, you can sell InkPOD’s running shoes in the same store!

- Capri yoga leggings

How To Start A Print On Demand Leggings Business
1. Choose a niche for your print on demand leggings
To keep yourself organized, planning and making designs around a single topic or area might be easier. Niching down is super helpful for beginners even when it comes to blogging. It removes the headache of wanting to do everything – because you can’t.
Generally, choose a niche suitable for women since they will be your primary target market.
2. Do research on what legging designs you should make
Once you’ve decided on a niche, do research on what designs sell best in them. You can head onto Etsy or Amazon, make a search and filter for best selling products or top rated ones. Draw inspiration from these designs instead of copying (not ethical).
3. Produce your own designs or outsource to others
Aim for patterned leggings (you’ll print the same image repeatedly all over) or go for one sided leggings. You’ll need extra attention to detail to make patterns join smoothly – tutorial video down below!
Unlike other products, I don’t recommend using Canva to design for leggings since you won’t be able to trace the designs to the templates – watch the video for you to understand what I mean. You can however use Canva Pro to make the designs/illustration then export to Photoshop or Affinity Designer for tracing on canvas.
If you want to outsource designs, find freelancers on Fiverr or Upwork. Alternatively, you can get illustrations for a price from sites like Shutterstock with the reselling license to use on your products.
4. Join a print on demand fulfillment of your choice
Choose one of the sites I’ve recommended in the list above. I highly suggest using Printful or Printify. There’s a variety of leggings to design with great mockups and you can find a lot of resources online to learn from.
5. Upload your designs to suitable leggings
Once your designs are ready, it’s time to upload them to products! Printful provides a complete guideline on how to upload designs (templates included) and recommends using full-bleed patterns for full coverage of leggings – otherwise some parts will be bare.
6. Decide on a profit margin and set a price
Looking at product costs, Printful’s leggings are in the $30 range while most of Printify’s are in the $20 range – you can get even more discounts with Printify Premium. Most POD experts sell them at about $60 to provide better margins and give them more room to play with ads – you’ll need it. If you’re a little unsure, try experimenting to find a sweet spot between $49.99 and $59.99.
7. Create mockups for your leggings to make it look real
Women love a good visual to see if an outfit is a good fit and imagine themselves in one. You can generate great mockups with Printful’s free tool – I like the lifestyle mockup and fitness sneakers.
Alternatively, you can also explore premium tools like Placeit, they have really impressive mockups in all sorts of settings – beach, room, terrace you name it. It’s widely used by professionals, read some of the best practices for legging mockups here.
8. Sync the product to your chosen store
Have you decided if you’re selling on Etsy or creating a dedicated Shopify website? Leggings can sell really well on both! I always recommend starting on Etsy for any new beginner since you’re tapping into an existing market with its own traffic. It’s much easier to learn and takes less time to set up.
Sync products from your artist dashboard to your ecommerce store once you’re ready!
9. Repeat the process to build a collection of products
A full fledged legging store should have a lot of designs to offer. Stick to the niche or theme you chose early on and create more designs in them.
General Tip: Don’t stop at 100 designs, keep going til you get it. Diversify your leggings to include other types even if they’re not fast selling.
Things To Consider For Print On Demand Leggings
1. Suitability of wearing in every weather
In a tropical country, one legging can be worn for the next 365 days whether it rains or shines because it’s pretty much the same. If your target market is in a four season country, you’ll have to think a little extra on where your leggings fit.
Some leggings are made for warmer seasons (they’re more cooling and dries off fast) while some are made for cooler months (to keep you warm even if you’re indoors).
2. Aimed for lifestyle wear or sportswear
Leggings are fashion statements and no longer made only for sportswear. I love wearing leggings with baggy clothes and even an oversized t-shirt, whether I’m at home or traveling. They’re just so easy to pack and take so much less space than a pair of bulky jeans.
Have the end goal in mind. Is your customer buying to wear to the gym or just to look good at a friend’s party?
3. Upselling and improving conversion rates
Don’t you just fall in love with a set of clothes that match? They don’t only look better, you’ll just feel instantaneously confident wearing them.
Offer complementary products in your store by upselling sport bras, yoga mats or even a tote bag with the same design as your leggings.
4. Legging base color and print accuracy
Most POD leggings have a white base color before getting any prints on it. It is much easier to print but there’s a chance of color mismatch or inaccuracy. Some may look a little dull, especially if you print a light colored design (pastel, nude tones).
To mitigate printing inaccuracies, Printful lets you order color swatches on specific products – it’s available for the all-over print leggings! Order a piece then decide if you’re sticking with that color or change your design colors to match the look you want.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Printful offers print on demand leggings with internal and external pockets. The optional small inner pocket is sewed into the waistband seam with a 2.76″ × 2.36″ (7 cm × 6 cm) dimension. Pockets provide added value to leggings and are useful when working out at the gym or taking a walk at the park.
Bottom Line
Print on demand leggings is a lucrative business to get into if you’re serious with making money with your designs. It’s not the easiest product to start with but it can sell very well on Etsy (set up in 5 easy steps) or even your own website.
If you’re unsure of what niche to go into, I compiled some of the best niches for Etsy here. The key is to start your print on demand side hustle today even if you’re unsure.
