1. Printify

If you’re still looking around and haven’t entirely decided to sell print on demand kitchen accessories, you should join a fulfillment company that offers a wide range of products. Printify has over 800 items you can sell in your store and integrates with popular ecommerce platforms like Etsy and Shopify.

When setting up a new store, it’s always best to stick to a certain niche and target audience. If you’re planning to sell kitchen products for new cooks, make sure everything in your store meets the criteria!

Printify’s kitchen accessories are relatively cheaper than others and you can save further on product cost (about 23%) by subscribing to Printify Premium (prices in green). They work with multiple fulfillment companies all over the world so you have the best choices in one view.

Here’s a sample of a Printify ice bucket I created using a design downloaded from Creative Fabrica. It’s a seamless pattern fruit design so all I had to do was scale the image to high resolution and use Printify’s pattern tool to make it repeat all over.

2. Printful

There aren’t many options for kitchen accessories on Printful compared to Printify but they do cover the basics. You can design mugs, water bottles, tumblers, coasters and aprons on their site.

Printful is also better known for their range of all over print on demand apparels and embroidery services which can be applied for aprons. There’s 15 thread color options for embroidery and with the standard service, you can choose up to six colors per print.

With every new embroidery design, you would need to pay a one-time digitization fee of $6.50. This is to convert your design file to a format that is readable by embroidery machines.

Here’s a sample of a Printful can-shaped glass I designed using a quick design from Printful’s ready library. I did not upload any image on my end and only customized the size/colors to suit the product. Easy!

3. Gooten

If you loved Printify but looking for something different, you should check out Gooten. They’re a platform I would recommend to non-beginners as only applications from experienced sellers with an existing store are approved.

Gooten’s catalogue is quite similar to Printify’s so you can find napkins, tea towels and even cutting boards on the site. Seeking something unique? I would suggest selling their acrylic trays, dish towels and magnetic notepads.

Prices are only visible if you’re logged in and you can download design templates to refer to for each product.

4. Prodigi

Never ordered a print on demand product before? You can get a sample pack consisting a few items on Prodigi. Although they’re mostly paper products, it’s still nice to see their printing quality.

For kitchen accessories, Prodigi has a basic selection compared to Printify and Gooten. Although most of their products are printed and shipped from the UK, some can also be shipped from the US e.g. their tea towels.

Selling a few different items in a shop that belongs in the same category is a good move to cross-sell and increase your average order value. You can sell matching aprons, tea towels and placemats so if one person likes your one design, they would get all three products.

5. Redbubble

It can be quite difficult to setup an ecommerce store for the first time. I personally did not know what I was doing when I set up my first Etsy store. But that confidence to start was built over time and perhaps from my experience using print on demand marketplaces like Redbubble.

Marketplaces are easier for beginners in POD as you don’t need a separate store to sell on. Using Redbubble as an example, you’ll just need to sign up for an artist account to sell your designed merchandise on their marketplace (the same website).

Once you make a sale, Redbubble will handle the order for you and you’ll receive your commission.

The only downside is, there aren’t a lot of products you can sell on marketplaces, compared to when selling with white-label fulfillments. But there are still the basics (list down below) and you can upload designs on multiple products at once (super time saver!).

6. Zazzle

If you’re interested in selling on a marketplace but want greater variety of products, Zazzle is the perfect site to join. There are far more product options on Zazzle compared to other marketplaces and they also let customers personalize their orders.

Depending on the type of product you’re selling, customer can personalize their purchase by adding text, initials and even their own photos.

7. Bags Of Love

Looking for a POD company based in the UK? Bags Of Love is a premium alternative for those planning to purchase a custom gift for a loved one or for themselves.

They ship all orders from their HQ in London and offers fast shipping times for local deliveries. Although they do ship worldwide, I personally feel that the international shipping rates are on the high side so I would not recommend.

There’s a wide range of kitchen accessories for you to sell with Bags Of Love. Most of their products are unique, not available on other sites and can be designed using ready photo collage templates.

8. Contrado

Like what you see on Bags of Love but not planning to sell within the UK? You can check out their parent company website instead, Contrado.

Contrado has printing facilities in the USA and typically ships orders in 1-2 days of ordering. Products on the two sites are quite similar but there are some features that are not available on Contrado – this includes the photo collage feature.

The great thing about using Contrado is that there are a few choices for fabric to choose from, sizes can be customized and printing quality is amazing. This is true for their custom table covers!

9. HugePOD

Similar to Printful, HugePOD is well known for their selection of all over print products. There isn’t as many options for POD kitchen products on the site but it’s still worth considering given their prices.

Aside from the lower prices, you can also benefit from bulk discounts by purchasing in large quantities. Ordering more than 100 units, would get you 20% off normal prices!

There are also 19 base color options for you to choose from when designing products with HugePOD. Though they might be printed with your design (and isn’t necessarily the natural color of the product), it still makes your designing work a lot easier.

10. Merchize

There aren’t a lot of kitchen products you can design on Merchize but they’re still a great fulfillment to check out. As they’re based in Vietnam, prices are lower than most companies I’ve listed above and includes free standard shipping.

Much like HugePOD, most products on Merchize are all over printed and consist of apparels. Aside from the apron, you can also design dish washer covers – something you can’t find on other sites in this list.

Some products may be printed in China (including the dish washer covers) and can’t be shipped to any other country other than the USA. Shipping may take some time but they have a great customer support for you to check on your orders.

11. Teelaunch

Interested in working with a US-based fulfillment only? Teelaunch is one you should explore as they have unique kitchen accessories to offer.

This includes engraved cutting boards, platters and plates!

You can easily filter their catalogue to show only kitchen products. But results may not show their mugs or tumblers, so be sure to go through other categories.

Most items on Teelaunch are printed and shipped from the USA – but not everything can be shipped out of the country. Read my other article on 13 things to compare between Teelaunch and Printful.

12. JetPrint

If you don’t need a lot of integration options and fine with just Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce, JetPrint is an alternative for cheap products.

Although there’s only a few accessories to sell and prices do not include shipping, it’s still much cheaper than sites like Printify. JetPrint is also more well known for their selection of print on demand footwear so if you haven’t decided on a niche, that’s one to consider.

The major downside is shipping times may be longer (7-12 days) than using companies that prints in the US or Europe. It’s best to have some experience in dealing customers’ expectations before working with overseas fulfillment companies.

13. Yoycol

Only planning to sell print on demand aprons? You can source cheap ones with Yoycol. They’re even cheaper than HugePOD and Merchize!

However, you’ll need to include shipping prices in your calculation before making any decision. In my opinion, working with overseas fulfillment like Yoycol only makes sense if you’re buying in large quantities.

Similar to HugePOD, Yoycol offer bulk discounts of about 5% and 10% if purchasing more than 10 and 50 units respectively. Their range of products is even more diverse although kitchen accessories are limited.

14. 99DIY

Besides price, quality of product and printing are two things you’ll have to take into account when comparing POD fulfillments.

99DIY’s aprons are even cheaper than the ones you see on Yoycol and though there might not be huge differences between their products (when browsing), it’s still best that you test them out – ideally, print with the same designs.

Other than some of their mugs, all kitchen accessories on 99DIY are printed and shipped from China. They provide recommended retail prices for you to follow but it’s best that you make your own competitive market research before pricing your products.

15. VistaPrint

If you’re planning for a corporate merchandise order and need bulk discounts without compromising on quality, VistaPrint is a great choice.

Not all products on VistaPrint requires a minimum ordering quantity (MOQ) so be sure to go through their catalogue. For some products like aprons, all over printing is not possible and your designs are limited to a printing area.

I would recommend checking out their bottle opener keychains, kitchen tool set or bento boxes if you want a thoughtful corporate gift. Their premium Charlie cotton grill apron needs a minimum of 12 units but you can enjoy about 35% off by ordering more than 1000.

Prices also includes their setup fee!

16. HelloPrint

HelloPrint works just like VistaPrint. They cater to mostly promotional merchandise printing e.g. flyers, posters, banners and flags – but they do offer other kinds of custom printed products.

This includes kitchen accessories (full list down below) and you can get them for a MOQ of 10 units. If you’re based in the Europe or the UK, HelloPrint is definitely worth a check out.

I’m personally a fan of their chopping boards although the printing area is fairly smaller than Teelaunch’s. There are great discounts for you to enjoy e.g. purchasing six aprons would get you a 50% discount compared to just buying one piece.

17. Shirtee

Another Europe-based print on demand company that you can explore is Shirtee. They carry mostly apparel products like Printful but offers printing on aprons, lunch boxes and drinkware.

There are also home decor items for you to explore. Similar to HugePOD, Shirtee lets you choose the base colors for fabric products. There are six color options for their aprons and prices include one-sided printing.

Shirtee is a sustainable print on demand company that provides services for branding and warehousing. If you’re an experienced seller planning to expand in the Europe, they’re definitely a fulfillment to consider.

How To Sell Kitchen Products With Print On Demand

  1. Choose a niche for your designs
    • Niching down is great to attract the right audience with your print on demand kitchen accessories
    • Some examples would be designs of food, countries, abstract or even motivating short quotes
    • Focus on your chosen niche for the next 100 designs!
  2. Do research on best selling and trendy designs
  3. Make your own designs or outsource
    • You can make your own designs using Kittl or Canva
    • If you want to buy designs, get them on Creative Fabrica or Envato Elements
    • Some important things to know are design file sizes and printing layout (if any)
  4. Sign up for an account with any of the sites I’ve listed above
    • You’ll have to create an account with one of the sites I’ve mentioned above to start selling
    • Choose one supplier that resonates to you the most with the right products you’ve envisioned for your kitchenware business
  5. Upload designs to products
    • Uploading designs to supplier’s products is super easy and you should be able to do this once an account is created
    • Position the design correctly when uploading as the actual product will look the same as what you see online
  6. Set a suitable profit margin for each product
    • On most sites, you should be able to set a selling price once you’ve done uploading the design
    • A suitable margin should be 40%-50% depending on the platform you’re selling on and any fees you’ll incur on each sale
    • This excludes shipping charges to customers!
  7. Sync them to your ecommerce store
    • You would need to integrate your ecommerce store e.g. Etsy or Shopify before you’re able to sell so do that first
    • Sync the ready product to your store to start selling them publicly
    • Sites like Redbubble and Zazzle have their own marketplace for you to sell your products – so you don’t need a separate store to use them
  8. Start selling and repeat!
    • Repeat the process and you’ll get some sales with time!
    • Increase your chances of success by uploading more quality designs and using professional mockup tools like Placeit
    • Consider bringing in traffic to your store with ads (if you’re not selling on a marketplace)
