Don’t know how to start your POD side hustle? Pillows are quite simple to design as they’re flat products. Even if you’re a complete newbie to print on demand, it’s completely doable for you. In fact, the first sale I made on Redbubble was for pillows!
In this article, I’ll be sharing 13 best fulfillment sites you can use to design custom pillows and print on demand pillow cases. To make it more wholesome, I’ve also included a list of other home décor you can design with these sites and ecommerce store integrations they offer.

Print On Demand Pillows and Pillow Cases: 13 Best Sites
1. Printify
If you’re looking for a variety of pillows or pillow cases to design on, Printify is the best site. I usually recommend Printify to newbies as prices are cheaper than others and their catalog is pretty complete.
For pillows, they have a great range to work with including outdoor pillows, waterproof pillows and tufted floor pillows. Everything is reasonably priced under $20 (except tufted pillows) and you can save further on product costs (mostly up to 23%) if you get the Premium plan.
Their bestseller, the spun polyester square cushion is available in four sizes, can be printed on both sides and comes with a concealed beige zipper. It’s best that you diversify your sales by working with multiple printing partners on Printify.

2. Printful
Sometimes there’s quite an obvious difference in product catalog on Printify and Printful. This is the case for pillows too! While Printify can offer over 15 types of pillows, Printful only has two types of pillow cases to offer – excluding the option of getting them both with inserts.
Both pillow cases on Printful can be all-over-printed (AOP), meaning your designs can cover the entire surface area without leaving any white space undesigned. Put aside the designs, AOP products are perceived to have higher value by customers since they’re getting “more” out of their money.
The main difference between the two pillow cases below is just the type of material used. Premium pillow is made of fabric with linen feel compared to the basic one which has a silky surface. Both are slightly expensive compared to Printify but for a good pricing comparison, here’s five pricing things to compare between Printify and Printful.

3. Gooten
Looking to design long body pillows that are huggable for adults? Gooten has them! Not everyone is used to hugging body pillows when sleeping but its still a niche you can tap into. Body pillows provide great support and comfort for side sleepers (huge chunk of us are).
Although there’s a single size only, they’re made of 100% microfiber and can be designed on both sides. As a customer myself, I can be quite picky with my purchases to ensure they’re comfortable. Microfibers are an amazing material for night time comfort!
If you’re a seasoned print on demand seller, Gooten is the site to join. They provide tailored business-to-business (B2B) solutions and mainly take in applicants based on experience.

4. Prodigi
There isn’t much choices for pillows on Prodigi compared to Printify and Gooten. However, they offer cushions in three types of unique materials beside the usual polyester ones.
Most products are shipped from the UK, but pillows are also shipped from the USA. It might relate to why production time is slightly longer for pillows than their other products.
You can design cushions to be printed on faux linen or faux suede fabric material, on both sides or just a single side. If you’re designing only one side, the back will be in full white which makes the white zip look unobvious and seamless.
Here’s a sample of Prodigi’s cushions that came with the sample pack I ordered from them. When I got them, they were entirely free of charge. It included the canvas cushion, linen cushion and faux suede cushion.
The faux suede cushion is super soft and had a nice texture. The canvas and linen cushion are on the rougher end but it should get softer with washing. You can clearly see the textures for each in the photo above!

5. Contrado
If you’re like me and love fulfillments that offers a variety of products, you’ll love Contrado. They have some unique items for home décor such as rugs and even candles. Their blankets selection are pretty amazing too!
For pillows, Contrado offers an assortment of comfortable ones. This includes rare pillow products like neck pillows, bolster pillows and even ones made of silk material.
The custom pillows can be printed on both sides with a choice of five types of fabric, including soft velvet. It comes with satin piping with six colorways and you can choose between square or heart-shaped zip puller.
Although Contrado is based in the UK, products on the website are priced in USD for everyone’s ease of use.

6. Yoycol
If you’re looking for cheaper-than-average pillows, Yoycol is the site to go with. They’re based in China and most products are shipped from the country.
There are 10 types of pillows you can customize with Yoycol. Though the products look similar to one another, they differ in sizes and possible printing areas (some are all-over-print!). Excluding their heart-shaped pillow and quilt set, everything is well under $6 excl. shipping.
However, I only recommend using China-based fulfillments if you have prior experience handling long shipping times. Not to be discouraged, they have multiple shipping options with varying delivery times for you to explore!

7. Art Of Where
There are no pillows you can design with Art Of Where, but there have four types of pillow cases you can sell! AOW is pretty unique with their selection of products which is unseen anywhere else, especially for their tote bags (find out why!).
All of their pillow cases can be made in five sizes and all comes with invisible zipper finishing (choice of black or white). Though they’re a bit more expensive, I personally favor cotton-based pillow cases as they are much cooling to sleep on – especially when the weather is hot outside. Velvet ones are better for colder seasons!
AOW is one of my recommendations if you’re selling print on demand to a Canada-based audience. Products are made and shipped from their factory in Montreal, Canada.

8. Teelaunch
There’s only two types of pillows you can design with Teelaunch. Putting aside the pet pillows, the basic cushions can be ordered in three ways. You can choose between stuffed & sewn (insert with no zip), zipped cover (no insert) or zipped cover with ready insert.
Teelaunch offers cushions in four square sizes with double-sided printing. One of the best tips for modern homes is to get cushion covers in one smaller size compared to the insert. This is especially the case if you want a plushy look for sofas!

9. InkedJoy
Another site to explore for print on demand pillow cases is InkedJoy. They don’t offer any ready pillows (with inserts) but there’s a choice of over 12 pillow cases you can design with them. Depending on the type of case you go with, prices starts from $1 excluding shipping and goes up to about $14.
There’s a choice between designing on one side or both sides, with some sold as a set of two. The 21″x60″ custom zippered pillow case is long enough to cover a bolster!
The major downside is products are all shipped from China. Though shipping cost is pretty reasonable, you may to have work with longer estimated delivery times and learn how to handle customer’s expectations. Relevant information is lacking on product pages too.

10. Teespring (Spring)
Teespring or Spring is a popular POD fulfillment, especially among online creators. Though I did not include any POD marketplaces in this list, I’ve decided to include Teespring (Spring) as users are able to connect their social profiles and sell merchandise on platforms like YouTube, Discord and Instagram.
There’s only a single type of pillow you can sell with Teespring which is an indoor pillow that’s available in three sizes (16″x16″; 18″x18″; 20″x20″). There’s multiple base colors you can choose from – view the sample I’ve attached down below.
Online content creators can create their own branded merchandise, connect their Teespring account to social profiles and promote products for their fans to purchase directly. Pillows are an ideal merchandise to sell especially if you’re an online content creator in the home décor niche.
Here’s a sample of the dashboard when designing pillows on Teespring. I used their text editor tool which didn’t require any image to be uploaded. Easy!

11. HugePOD
If you’re looking for quality custom pillow printing but at a much cheaper price, look no further than HugePOD. Just like Teespring, most products on HugePOD are offered in multiple base colors including their range of pillows.
You can design die-cut decorative pillows where the shape follows the outer dimensions of the design uploaded. Aside from the pillows below, there are all-over-print pillow cases you can design which are sold without inserts.
I highly doubt you would purchase 100 units of pillows but if you do, there’s 20% discount for buying in bulk. It might be possible for pillow cases though! If you have a physical store or would like to keep some stock for yourself, these bulk discounts come handy.

12. Merchize
Merchize offers both custom pillows and pillow cases for artists to sell their design on. Their range of pillow products are well under $21 and includes shipping!
They also have basic bedding sets and quilt bedding sets that comes with two pillow cases each. These products are slightly more pricey but it’s worth considering to add them to your store.
The only downside is not all products on Merchize are shipped from the USA. Most orders will come from Vietnam and some are shipped directly from China. Read descriptions before proceeding!

Since Contrado is their parent company, pillows and pillow cases on Bags Of Love are quite similar to the ones you can find on Contrado. They do have additional features like designing collage pillows and creating embroidered pillow cases (like the picture below).
Personalized embroidered pillow cases give a classic look to any bedroom and make excellent gift for loved ones. BOL only offers these pillow cases in white but you can choose embroidery color & font.
I recommend using BOL if you’re primarily based in UK and looking to sell to your local audience as prices are displayed in GBP (British Pounds). Despite their fast fulfillment times (1-3 days!), BOL’s international shipping rates starts from £15 for orders to North America, Europe and the rest of the world – you’re better off using other fulfillments.

How To Start Selling Print On Demand Pillows
- Choose a niche for your designs
- Niching down is great to attract the right audience with your pillow designs
- Some examples would be pillows designed with food, modern patterns or even funny quotes on sleeping
- Focus on your chosen niche for the next 100 designs!
- Do research on best selling and trendy designs
- Before making any designs, find out what’s working in the market
- A quick trick is to Google, search for them on Etsy or use Merch Informer
- Make your own designs or outsource
- Sign up for an account with any of the sites I’ve listed above
- You’ll have to create an account with one of the sites I’ve mentioned above to start selling
- Choose one supplier that resonates to you the most with the right products you’ve envisioned for your pillow business
- Upload designs to products
- Uploading designs to supplier’s products is super easy and you should be able to do this once an account is created
- Position the design correctly when uploading as the actual product will look the same as what you see online
- Set a suitable profit margin for each product
- On most sites, you should be able to set a selling price once you’ve done uploading the design
- A suitable margin should be 40%-50% depending on the platform you’re selling on and any fees you’ll incur on each sale
- This excludes shipping charges to customers!
- Sync them to your ecommerce store
- Start selling and repeat!
- Repeat the process and you’ll get some sales with time!
- Increase your chances of success by uploading more quality designs and using professional mockups like Placeit
- Consider bringing in traffic to your store with ads!
